Berkeley man makes a (really rather nice) dumpster home
Gregory Kloehn lives in central Berkeley and he makes things for a living. His latest creation may be his most inventive yet, for Kloehn has fabricated a home out of a dumpster -- yes, your regular dumpster, known primarily as a receptacle for trash.

Kloehn says he decided to take on this remarkable feat of engineering and design while working on a shipping container home. "I would look over the fence at a dumpster and think that it looked like a little house," he says.

I did, and it seems to me this dude is "several bricks short of a full load". From the comments I read after it, several other people have the same thought. :mental:

Hell, my son's pop-up camper is nicer than that, and my 26ft. travel trailer would be considered a luxury condo, with more room to boot.

I think, instead of building multi-billion dollars worth of housing projects, we just put welfare recipients in these. 10 or 12 gauge steel, they're stackable, can't be torn up as easy as sheetrock by ingrate welfare recipients... you could put the entire Democrat base in these, stack them 10 high, and fit them all into the state of Rhode Island. Just imagine, 1 blue state, 49 red states. Heaven.
