Wausau Mayor Says City Won't Pay For Labor Day Parade If GOP Isn't Invited To Attend
http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/article/20110830/WDH01...
This guy is a real bastard. I say **** you Tipple. Go ahead and keep your money. We'll pay for it ourselves you ****ing asshole!
Marathon County Labor Council President Randy Radtke confirmed Monday that no Republican lawmakers are welcome to participate in the organization's Labor Day parade -- a departure from procedure in previous years.
"I don't like when politicians try to use us, use our event, for their personal gain," Radtke said. "And that's pretty much what they're doing. The Republican politicians in our area don't side with us, but now they want to make it look like they're on our side."
The decision to bar GOP lawmakers might mean parade organizers will lose financial support typically provided by the city of Wausau.

1. Mayve we will need to start a fundraiser so that the parade can go on. nt
Hey, Duche, you have to have a license to have a parade. Highly doubtful the parades will happen next year if this is not changed.

6. Here's the Mayor's email: Email that asshole and let him know what you think:
mayor@mail.ci.wausau.wi.us
-
It's called Labor Day not Union Day.
FOAD DUchebag. Oh and thanks for the email as the mayor just got a very nice one from me.
-
I might have to go to Best Buy and get a video camera and go to this parade if Duffy and the other republicans go.
-
Me too, Jukin, here's what I said:
Hello, I think your decision was correct to not fund the parade if groups are banned. Thank you. The city funds belong to all in the city, not just certain people approved by other certain people.
-
It's called Labor Day not Union Day.
No kidding. What's the percentage of US workers that are in unions? Less than 10%, right?
-
Labor Day is a nationally recognized holiday.
The parade is government sponsored.
The government cannot arbitrarily discriminate.
This decision by the unions is wrong, and the governor is right to pull funding from a discriminatory function.
Now, if the unions want to hold their own parade, in their own time & with their own funds, in such a way that it is clear that their festival is not a government sanctioned event, then by all means.

8. Here's the e-mail I sent:
"Let see if I understand this. Republicans, who spend 24/7 fighting to destroy the rights of workers (labor) want to be present at the Labor Day Parade, and you're going to fight for them because you feel they have a 'right?'
Isn't that just a little bit hypocritical? Somewhat like you fighting for the 'right' of Nazis to attend a Jewish Parade?
Come on, now."
I'm sure this email from a moonbat will make him change his mind.
:-)

Less if you take away Government jobs. The Government is the biggest union employer.
I'm thinking privatization.

Me too, Jukin, here's what I said:
Me thinks that this will, like all DUmbass plans, bite them in their collectivist asses.

21. If it's being funded by municipal -- tax -- dollars, you cannot ban one party.
You just can't. Imagine the uproar if a taxpayer-supported event banned Democrats.
Come on, people. Are we that blind?

32. Try using google and you may learn something
:puke:
RL
Yes RL, that it is against the law that city funded events discriminate anyone from participating/attending.
-

That sounds like something that the DUmmies used to always say when a contrary opinion pops up there....."DO YOUR HOMEWORK". (Which to Nadin, means use the Google)

Well, more union dues that wont be going to The One.

Didn't Boston or New York, bastions of liberalism, ban queers from marching in the St Pat's day parade?
-
I was kinda hoping this would go through...cause it would open the door to all sorts of tax-paid discrimination.
And the only visible, blatant discrimination would be solely of the left's making...Can't blame this on the GOP.
-
I bought a video camera today and I'm going to the parade whether or not the Republicans come. I figure that if the Republicans do come the union thugs will do ugly things worth capturing on tape/memory. And if the Republicans don't come the union people will be strutting around like roosters making fools of themselves.

Yeah, Republicans are so anti-labor. I guess that's why the damn jobs are moving to REPUBLICAN states.
Fool.
I see Nikki Haley busting her ass trying to entice business to relocate to SC, and in one instance in the case of Boeing, you fools trying to STOP job growth. Keep thinking union thuggery = labor, jackasses. It helps our side.
-
I heard a brief interview with the Mayor on F&F this morning. I don't think Sarah's brilliant missive swayed him any; he sounded pretty confident in his position.
Come on DUmmies, even you have to get this. You cannot discriminate and exclude, using taxpayer dollars. That's just the way it is. Isn't that one of your "values" anyway?
-

Yup, and that's the connection I made. The difference is, I think, that the St. Patrick's Day parade in Boston is organized and funded by a private group. Hasn't kept them from regular lawsuits though. I don't follow it that closely but I think the grand compromise last year was to let the queers have their own parade about a mile behind the real one.
Can't wait to see this case used as a precedent, either legal or in an election ad.

That should be an issue during the up coming elections.

You guys ought to "like" her if you have a FB account. Just about every day reads like this:
Nikki Haley
‎5-STAR announces $25 million investment in Marlboro County! S.C. is one of the best states for business. We celebrate 5-STAR’s commitment to bring innovation and 1,000 jobs over 5 years to one of our state’s rural counties. Jobs, jobs, jobs!
After the failure that is leadership in D.C., it comforts me to see that it isn't across the board.

You would do a great service. And post it on you tube and especially here for all to see. Now that the GOP IS allowed to march, it will be much more interesting.
-
Liberals don't care if discrimination happens against people they dislike, even when funded with government money. This is because they're all a bunch of selfish amoral bastards.
-
I LOVE Nikki Haley, Rebel. During her campaign, I acquired a homeless kitten and named it after her, for good luck in the election. :-) Oh wait, you're one of the ones who hates cats. :p

Even the jobless dudes will be watching the NFL, nobody seriously expects Obama to come out with anything that's really new, or hasn't already been tried and failed to move the needle in the right direction.

I just got back home from the Wausau Labor Day parade. Not too much excitement. Congressman Sean Duffy was there and walked the parade route on foot. He passed by me near the beginning of the route and I followed along behind him to the end. The crowd along most of the route was very friendly to Duffy. The crowd down at the Labor Temple where the parade ended was where he got harassed. The harassment was pretty mild-- booing, thumbs down, turning their backs to the parade, chants of "Recall Walker", nothing to wild. I don't think too many of the radical hippies from down in Madison made it up here. I'll look over my video to see if I picked up anything interesting.

No doubt it will be in South Carolina, however I'm sure the Dems will play up the other end of it Washington State (Pretty good chance it'd be going moonbat anyway, though).
-
Thanks for effort, Delmar.
It will be interesting to see how the DUmmies view it.
^5 for the effort.

Washington is a moonbat state, but it may still be winnable. The commies had to find cars with trunks full of uncounted moonbat votes to get a commie elected governor. If they're that close, the jug-eared messiah may be in trouble up there. Not likely, but a possible win.

Yes, if the Leftists on the coast are sufficiently disheartened to depress their turnout, and the Conservatives and Libertarians in the hinterland are sufficiently pissed off at Obama to show up in record numbers, it could be a GOP win. It's not impossible, just kind of a long shot.

Poor old Minniscrotum is left.
Damn place turned into a socialist paradise.
Always wanted to retire there.
My family's roots are there.
Wouldn't go there, now, for shit.
The so-called twin-cities, just suck.
A place where they put a former Pro-wrestler in charge?
A state where they voted in a moonbat conspracy fruitcake?
Jesse, I respect what you did.
Your politics just suck hind tit.
Out in the farm land, they care for each other.
