Yesterday, Monday, happened one of those things that gave me an urge to kick a cat across the river.
No, not really; I've never in my life hit a person or an animal.
But man, sometimes dealing with the primitives--and on their own turf, even--is like playing chess with a retard.
As some might have noticed, I was absent most of yesterday, because I was hanging around Skins's island. When I hang with the primitives, I have to drive 6 or 8 or 42 or 131 miles away from here, so as to be on a computer better suited for moling, than this one. I've never logged onto Skins's island from this computer here at home. I've lurked there from here, but never logged on from here.
Anyway, as nearly all here know, the primitives and elmers are on constant alert to detect moles in their midst.
Before I continue, I must define, because "mole" is overused.
A "troll" is someone who lands ashore Skins's island to disrupt, to discombobulate, to disarray.
A "mole" is someone who sneaks onto Skins's island for surreptitious reasons, usually quite reasonable ones, such as scientific research, and who does nothing to reveal his persona.
A troll wants the primitives to know he's no primitive, and makes no bones about who he is.
A mole wants the primitives to think he's a fellow primitive, and thus uses deception.
Okay.
Trolls are another issue altogether; this is about moles.
For years I've watched the primitives and now the elmers, try to detect moles in their midst.
These--these--these peop--er, primitives, are really stupid.
And they amazingly appear to think decent and civilized people are stupider than they are.
As I said, it's like playing chess with a retard.
They seem to think that those of us have moles that express our honest sentiments on Skins's island, and hence concentrate their attention on those among them who (they think) are most like us. If the tool of a mole is "deception," there's no way in Hell franksolich, for example, is going to be franksolich on Skins's island.
In fact, to survive as a mole, it's necessary for franksolich to deceive, to be on Skins's island nothing like franksolich is here, or in real life.
Here, and in real life, franksolich is an enthusiastic advocate for life.....and so it logically follows that franksolich's mole on Skins's island is a rabid promoter of infanticide.....so as to deceive.
Here, and in real life, franksolich is an enthusiastic advocate for promoting liberty and democracy throughout the world by the United States taking an active, vigorous, incessant role in both external and internal affairs of countries more backward than we.....and so it logically follows that franksolich's mole on Skins's island is a rabid isolationist.....so as to deceive.
Here, and in real life, franksolich loathes the current occupant of the White House, and heartily hopes he gets sent into retirement next year.....and so it logically follows that franksolich's mole on Skins's island is a rabid 0bamaite.....so as to deceive.
Here, and in real life, franksolich is an enthusiastic advocate for limited government and as few taxes as possible.....and so it logically follows that franksolich's mole on Skins's island is a rabid pro-government, pro-tax, primitive.....so as to deceive.
The primitives are scurrying around looking for franksolich on Skins's island.....the problem (for them) being that they're looking for one of their own who most resembles franksolich as franksolich is here.
Geezuz.
And the primitives (and elmers) have the chutzpah to think we're the stupid ones here?
Damn.
-
You have to remember they think Anthony Wiener is a genius, so it is a natural assumption that they think that decent folks are stupid.
-
"The arrogance of ignorance" is a useful phrase, particularly when describing Obama's economic and foreign policies, but in the case of DU, it's more like ""The arrogance of sheer stupidity."
-
Yep, they do. They also think we're evil.
They also think that every solution to every calmity has been invented.
-
Yes, they do.
They also believe bright lights and vibrators will cure or fix many things.

Anything else can be fixed by taxing the rich.

Anything else can be fixed by taxing the rich.
Using bright lights and vibrators.

The question was "do the primitives think we're stupid, or what"?
Since "what" wasn't one of the answers, I had to vote "yes".
Considering the average primitive has a negative IQ, I could care less "what" a DUmmie thinks, much less "if".
I doubt "if" they can think, all I ever read on their posts that pass for intelligence is recycled college lecture courses that were proved wrong over 100 years old.
(Hint: There is a REASON that text book only cost $5.99, DUmmies!)

It never ceases to amaze me how us knuckle-dragging, gun-toting, foreigner-fearing, book-burning, Bible-thumping, sister-humping cave dwellers are always capable at thwarting the liberals' ingenious 11-dimensional chess machinations for creating the perfect world of peace, love and equality as embodied by incessant government hand-outs.
Were too stupid to join their vision of Ewe-topia but we're crafty enough to control the media, overturn global warming climate change science, destroy unions, stage 9/11 and force sitting presidents to cum an on intern's dress.
Of course they think we're stupid but I, in turn, I love being me.
-
I'm going to go the other way with this, and state that no, they don't..
What I do think is that they throw around the word stupid as much as they do to convince the politically inactive that they are right..
Example --
Sarah Palin.
She was loved by Alaska, and looked at as an effective leader, until the primitives and the MSM got to work and engineered a new persona for her.
This engineering wasn't to convert us -- those of us who pay attention, but to convert Joe Voter. The primitives are continuing in that tradition because it worked against Palin. They know we aren't stupid, but if they can marginalize our opinions with a good disinformation campaign, we will certainly look like it.

Well, I must say, it was quite a trip yesterday, to Skins's island, combing through lots and lots of personal messages.
Our Canaris over there had told me last weekend that the identity of moles is "hot" right now, going on underneath the surface.
If anything, the primitives are further away from identifying my own mole than they've ever been.
They're looking for somebody who comments on Skins's island like franksolich comments here.
It doesn't occur to them that franksolich's mole is not a troll intending to disrupt; franksolich's mole is a mole intending to "fit in" with the rest of the primitives as much as possible, so as to collect what thus far has been invaluable anthropological material. Deception's not nice, but Margaret Mead did it, for the advancement of scientific knowledge, and so franksolich does it too.
Now, I'm sure that my fellow alum Skins and the elusive enigmatic Elad know who franksolich's mole is, and have probably known for a long time now, but as my mole doesn't cause any problems, they leave it alone.

It's actually kind of funny, in a pathetic sort of way.
My own mole there is one of the most-active in trying to uncover the identity of.....my own mole.

I'm doing my own experiment of sorts.
I give the little ****tards my best, honest-to-Dog tactical and strategic advice. Advice that would actually help them gain seats, pass policies and win converts amongst the general populace. Real advice I would--and do--give conservatives with successful results.
The hypothesis I am testing: no matter the practical value of the advice, liberals are too emotionally invested in their issues to affect practical results. They would much rather seek refuge in bitterness than aspire to anything resembling success. Failure is the inevitable result of self-indulgence. Success requires self-discipline. DUMabsses are too invested in their egos to the point of damaging their own interests.
-
The DUmmies are bipolar in that respect. They think conservatives are dumb, but think that every democrat loss or scandal is some kind of plot.

Following the gist of the OP I'm going to go out on a limb here and congratulate franksolich's mole on attaining moderator status on the island. :cheersmate:

No, franksolich's mole is NOT among the moderators on Skins's island, and never has been.
The "interview process" requires a telephone conversation with my fellow alum Skins, and so that's out, because I can't do telephone. And if I were to ask for "special accommodations" on the matter, of course my mole would be immediately identified.
I think however congratulations are in order for it having worked out--I had no intention of this happening; it was just something that happened all by itself--that franksolich's mole is among those primitives most assiduously trying to pin down.....franksolich's mole.
It's hilarious.

I voted yes. Having a semi-moonbat mother and aunt (they are more toward the old school side of Dim), I see first hand the condescending attitude toward anyone that does not think as they do.
They really do think anyone that is not Liberal or Progressive is too stupid to live, uniformed and is a neanderthal.
