I went to Borders for their additional 15% off three day "sale". I hate calling it a sale since they are trying to clear out all of their inventory before they shut down 400 stores.
If you all get some time, head over that way and get all of your books you have been wanting to read. I spent almost two hours there this afternoon, mostly in the political section. A lot of their political books are 70% off right now. My store still had a lot to chose from. I was able to snag a 2012 calendar for $4.50 too. Picked up a pillow pet at 50% off for my daughter.
All of the books I bought were less than $8. Including Pinheads & Patriots, two Laura Inghram books, Andrew Breitbart's newest book, and many more.

I really need to head over there and pick up some updated MCSE books before they disappear. :(

They closed the Borders around here in the first wave, about 6 months ago. We got a couple of good deals in the liquidation sale, but our family tends to gravitate more to the Barnes & Noble stores when we have to buy books in a brick&mortar store.

I can walk to ours, which is quite an accomplishment for my community. Maybe I should go by there.
Thanks for the tip, Jess. :cheersmate:

My wife is/was a member of Borders' club, whatever the name is/was. She found that it was still cheaper for her to buy from Borders online than at any of the "sales."

It's cheaper with the liquidation sales now. For obvious reasons.

Maybe it's the books she looks for, but that isn't her experience.
