Title: Hi, folks!
Post by: PatrickMahoney on August 28, 2011, 01:09:08 PM

Hi, My name is Patrick.  Been trying to post for a while but with the hurricane it's been difficult.

I'm a writer...mostly historical fiction in the style of James Michener; but with an Upton Sinclair bend.....and a 'dash' of John Grisham.

Graduated from U Michigan all the way back in 1980, then worked at Clorox, P&G, and Henkel.  Then, went on to International business at Krupp Polysius. Decided to go get my PhD and went to Georgia Institute of Technology for 8 years.  I got out then started working for Delta.  I hated that job, so I decided to travel.  Travel really opened up my eyes to a lot of different things.

I'll be honest, I am actually "liberal" on a lot of domestic and social issues.  Mainly because I don't mind what other people, I prefer not to judge lest I be judged and to live and let live as the Bible says.  Where I differ from some but not all other "liberals" is that I am an unconditional supporter of Israel and the Jewish people and a critic of Arabs and Islam.  So that's why I am here, so I can discuss issues of foreign affairs and give my support to Israel and her wonderful people in a friendly environment.  I feel we must support Israel, because if they fall, we are next.  If Israel falls, any hope of a better, more tolerant tomorrow, is gone, replaced by the tyranny of Islamification and shariah law.

You sound similar to Joe Lieberman, which isn't that bad.

Welcome.

Joe Lieberman isn't really a bad guy.

I like Alan Dershowitz, too.  In my high school days, I wanted to be a lawyer, and I really looked up to Dershowitz because I thought his views were dead on.  When I got to college though I found out that law really wasn't my thing and I kind of gave up.
