Author Tim Gloseclose has released a new book entitled "Left Turn" in which he scientifically demonstrates liberal bias in the U.S. media. Through his methodology he has determined the "Political Quotient" of politicians and offers a quiz for you to determine yours.
Sorry, video will not embed, watch it here~

See where your favorite politicians rate on the scale and take the quiz, "What's your PQ?" under the "What's a PQ" tab here~

I scored a 13.6 which puts me right between Richard Nixon and Lindsay Graham.

I'm 5.3, about the same as Jim DeMint.
-
Here’s your PQ: 3
Politicians with similar PQs are:
Michele Bachmann (R-Minn, 2007-09) PQ=-4.1
James DeMint (R-S.C. 1999-2009) PQ=5.1
Newt Gingrich (R-Ga., 1979-94) PQ=11.4
Richard Nixon (R-Calif., 1947-52) PQ=12.5
-
5.4

I got a 12.4. There was one question that had asked if federal employess would get paid leave to have a child adoption. I am like ummmm......no!!
-
PQ of 3.
The quiz was a good reminder of just how much sewage has passed through Congress in the past 3 years.
-
Here’s your PQ: 0.6
Politicians with similar PQs are:
Michele Bachmann (R-Minn, 2007-09) PQ=-4.1
James DeMint (R-S.C. 1999-2009) PQ=5.1
Newt Gingrich (R-Ga., 1979-94) PQ=11.4

also 5.4
the only time i dissented from the republicans was the funding for the f22
i based my decision on the believe that this was the project that even the DoD said it didnt want but the project was appropriated anyways.
-
PQ: 3 here.
-
PQ=14.7 I slid in just under Lindsay Graham.
I have to admit that I didn't read some of the questions all of the way through. I mean c'mon: Dick Durbin proposed such and such, or Al Franken proposed such and such. I don't have to read the whole question to know how I'm going to answer those.

To be honest, I didn't understand the question. They started talking about a military aircraft, then the question changed somehow, so i was confused on what I was voting against....

Yes Sea these bills are difficult enough to read, it is the bills that must be past before read that give us trouble.
I came in at a 31------Oh THE SHAME, Will CC ban me now, ----I hear Gina laughing------

I got a three.

No trouble. Nancy Pelousy doesn't read them either before she votes on them.

Just this morning I read a review of this book in the Weekly Standard. The reviewer said he can't recommend it highly enough. The author explains math & stats & such with "clarity and humor" and even the endnotes are hilarious. Just passing along.

I have to disagree with how they do this survey. It states at the end of every question how each parted voted, which would skew a lot of peoples answers.
-
I got 17 does that mean I have to go sign up at DU now? :-)

I wouldn't call the survey anything close to scientific or impartial, but you're absolutely right. The sheer amount of garbage that Congress enacted since Jan. 09 is staggering in its stupidity.
