About 2 weeks out before the Saints win their first game. :-)
-
Brees looked sharp against the Faders.
-
Guess not...Bah!
The NFL is back, baby!
-
i locked my SuperBowl pick in on the packers :mental:
-
The Bears are already mathematically eliminated from any of the playoffs.

Schadenfreuda, could you come in here please?? :lmao:
Rugnuts: YES!
Odin: Even though your Saints didn't win, it was a pretty good game. Also, I spaced on creating this thread. Good form, and thanks!

Not "my Saints"...I was just trying to gig all the Packer fans here a bit.
"My Cowboys", however, are still plagued with "Tony Romo"... :censored:

They are MY Saints. :-)
But Rev already knows that. O-)

Chargers for me. It is a love hate thing!

Been a Washington Redskins Fan since 1967. Lots of ups and downs. Mostly downs since 1992. I like what we did to the Giants on Sunday. Remains to be seen if its real or a fantasy down the road.
-
^ I've always liked the Skins myself. Hope they truly have what it takes this year. Though, if we meet in the post season, there will be no love lost. :)

Yeah, yeah. Geaux do something else. :p

You know, I was so pissed at New York on Sunday I was actually rooting for the Cowboys.

For a cheesehead, you are a pretty good sport. I'd buy you a beer. An Abita. :-)

"Oh, those darling 'Skins". ::)
-
Well, we just squeaked by this week, but the Skins are 2 and 0. We only have to win 4 more games to equal last year's record. I'm hoping for a winning season this year. It will be a while before we visit the Super Bowl again, for sure. But I see signs of life. :cheersmate:
-
The Packer game was tough to watch at times but interesting.
The Eagles at Falcons game was very exciting. I was pulling for the Falcons just because I can't stand Philly fans but highly entertaining no matter who won.

You guys could well go 3-0. The Boys just squeaked by the 9ers yesterday, and have a couple more devastating injuries. Including Miles Austin.
-
A former co-worker of mine, who is a self-denying moonbat (in that he denies that he's one, but everyone who knows him knows better), is also a Buffalo Bills fan. He had them winning four games this year. Three games into the season, he's 75% there.

x2

Bills fell off. And then there were 2. Packers/Lions. We don't play each other until Week 12 either. Lot can happen in 8 weeks.
How 'bout them Dolpins though? Any of you think they need some "Luck?"
-
Another squeaker for the 'Skins. They have me worried. Great defense, but their offense is not up to par. Grossman may be familiar with the 3-4 but he doesn't have the arm to avoid those ridiculous interceptions. We're not going anywhere til we find a decent quarterback. I'd like to give Beck a chance to see if we can drive that offense.
-
Chalk up another one for my green & gold.
Q: Can anyone stop the Packers?
A: NO!
-
Eh, the Ravens will give the Pack a run for their money this year.

Tonight's game, Bears at Lions, should be a fun game to watch for Packer fans. I have to DVR it and watch it late, but watch it I will.
-
Rooting for the Bears is almost evil, but I have to to put the Pack in better position.
On a better note, we get St. Louis @ Lambeau next Sunday. :-)
Eh, the Ravens will give the Pack a run for their money this year.
I actually have been saying since the end of Week 2 that it would be the Ravens vs. Packers in XLVI, but now with Buffalo showing they're for real, I'm not so sure.
It will either be Packers vs Ravens, Bills, or Patriots in XLVI.
-
BREAKING: Carson Palmer just traded from the Bengals to the Raiders for a first rounder in next year's Draft, and a conditional first rounder in 2013. (That is, if the world doesn't end. :rotf:)

It was nice of the 49ers to take the Lions down a peg.
The Packer's playing style has me on edge at times. Green Bay at Detroit wasn't pretty last year.
-
Meh. We'll have to see. Minnesota is done from the start. (I can think that way, but the Pack CAN'T!) I think Ponder is going to look more like a Ryan Leaf than a John Elway against our D. They're having o-line problems as well.
-
I wanna cry!! :banghead: My Redskins aren't cutting it, once again. I don't know why they switched quarterbacks. Grossman has proven he can't win and Beck needs playing time. We haven't had consistency since Joe Gibb's resigned the first time, revolving doors with coaches and quarterbacks plus no depth in the front line. :argh: Don't know what to do!!
-
It's slightly possible the Skins could get Luck, but I dunno. I would wish upon the Skins that they draft a QB in the first round, and then concentrate on the O-line. That should cure what ails them. (if they dropped Shanahan though, that might really help)
On another note, my Packers are going to take out the Vikes tonight at Lambeau. Period! :hyper:

While the Packers beat the Vikings tonight, Dane County Board members will be voting for a wheel tax.

I'll be mildly surprised if the Packers win in Detriot on Thurs. I'd take the Lions +6.

It is so hard to say because Detroit has been so inconsistent. I think it will be close but the Packers will squeak out another victory +3.
Unless Detroit totally collapses.
Looking at the Matchup stats on the NFL'11 app, the Packers have a slight edge except in defensive rushing yards. And defensive points. So yeah, Packers should win by 6 but it is Thanksgiving and it is a Detroit tradition and it is the first year in many, many years when Detroit actually has a team.

I figure the Lions will get the better of the penalty yardage too. Green Bay is due for a let down game and to win on the road in the NFL isn't easy for any team.

True enough, that. What are they on, like a 17 game winning streak? But still, I like to believe in the magic of a "perfect season" until some evil Smurfs come and steal my unicorn.
-
Don't you know, Odin? Lion cooked up on Thanksgiving is a wonderful meal.
Seriously though. our D has slouched a bit, but that's only because 1. Our high octane offense can take care of things. However, the defense shouldn't rely on the other 11 for everything. 2. #52 is being double, and triple covered. Without Jenkins to get some offensive heat of his own on the line, Clay is less effective. However, Mike Neal just came back Sunday. Didn't do much of anything, but he's getting back into the swing of things.
I say the Pack roll to 11-0. +3.
-
Happy Thanksging! Packets 11-0. Eat that, Model city USA!
-
Well that turkey Suh certainly stuck a fork in himself early. I hope there is severe punishment. He IS a repeat offender.
Oh, and why the hell was Lee ejected? Talk about bullspit!
-
Playoff time! I like the Bengals and Saints to win today.
-
I'm liking the Patriots over Tebow. I'm also liking the Packers over the Girly Men. It'll be tough, but we overcome adversity, and nothing is more sad, or more worth overcoming than the recent news, and sorrow our Offensive Co-ordinator had to go through this past week. The news was heartbreaking. We've gotta win it not just for us, but for him, and his family. O a;sp ;ole tje Saomts. amd Ravems/
-
Girly Men? The GIANTS played the pac tough last game no? This time they are healthy and inspired. Remember 2007? I sent Tom some ointment for his cheeks in case of cold weather so they are ready!
Go Giants!

I'm a bit worried but while the Giants of today may be the Giants of 2007, the Packers of today aren't the Packers of 2007.
There is the SI curse to consider, though. Which is the same as 2007.

Yeah...Girly Men. I'm entitled to a bit of smack talk, dammit!
That's good though. You keep living in '07. (The country as a whole was sure as hell better off, but I digress) Live up those glory days. Meanwhile, we'll be heading to the 2012 NFC Championship! :yahoo: :fuelfire:

FACT; When you MASH “green and yellow†together, it turns “Blueâ€.
GIANTS 34 “pickle packers†27 and it wont be that close.
-
I'm pulling for the Broncos, but I don't think they'll get by the Pats, though.
BTW, Tebow was voted ESPNs favorite athlete (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7451061/espn-sports-poll-denver-broncos-tim-tebow-us-favorite-active-pro-athlete)! He deserves it.

I know it won't happen, but I'd like to see the Broncos and Packers in the Super Bowl. My Chiefs beat both of 'em in the regular season!

I like the Saints, Broncos (pipe dream), Ravens and Packers to win this weekend.

And I like you, Odin.

OWSies! That one stung. Say what you want, Cats. Sunday is Funday for my Green & Gold. You'll see. The Packer DYNASTY will begin with the NFC Divisional Championship.
1/15/12. Remember the date. For it is the harbinger of your doom.

Great NFL show on SeeBS right now. Reliving the Fog Bowl, Freezer Bowl, etc. games. Just the all-time great playoff moments.

Geaux Saints!

Geaux Saints!
Yup, back to NO and watching the rest of the playoffs on TV....BOOYAH!!!!!!!

Dearest Sparky:
As far as they went this season, the 45-10 whipping the Broncos received on a bitter cold Saturday night from ruthless coach Bill Belichick and his world-class New England Patriots proved the Broncos still have a long, long, long way to go.

Suck it baby. :-)
-
It wasn't the 45-10 humiliation suffered by the Broncos. It wasn't the bone-chilling cold. What stung the worst Saturday night was the sarcasm as thick as New England chowder when fans derisively chanted the name of Tim Tebow.
