Unusual technical question.
If a poster signed up under a name (say: August Day), and gets banned, could that same name be used again? Also, what if said poster changed his/her name during a name amnesty (say to: August Night), can the first name be used again by another individual?

1. That name cannot be re-used under either circumstance.
If a name has been used at any time, our software does not permit anyone else to use it.
Not sure how that is going to be handled on DU3.

2. Thank you, but one more question.
Say the person took advantage of the name change (now, August Night), then changed his/her password, so AN and August Day have different passwords, August Night gets banned, could the poster come back (using a different IP and clearing cookies and the such) and re-use August Day?
So you know, this isn't some "preperation" for a future test, but rather clearing up a situation.
Thank you again.
(If you'd rather not answer in public and wish to know why I am asking, you can PM me. That works for me as well.)

3. If someone gets banned, they cannot come back using a previous username.
If someone changes their username during a name-change amnesty, the DU account remains the same. If it get's banned, it's banned.

'Behind the Aegis' does not appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

A better name for that primitive would be 'Behind the Donkey.'
