Anybody else annoyed by people that "talk with their hands"?
I've almost been smacked numerous times by my boss. He cannot speak without throwing his hands around.
We went for a business lunch last week...my co-worker let him drive to the restaurant....she insisted on driving home, cause his hands were never on the wheel.
I duck now....I've learned....

1. No. I'm a hand-talker too.
That said, I don't drive.
It must be a short walk to the unemployment office, then?

2. Hand-talkers on TV are annoying too.
It's very distracting with their hands flying around. The worst has to be the host on PBS "America's Test Kitchen", Chris Kimball. It's a good show ruined by his constantly waving his hands around in an almost threatening manner.
DUmmie Graybeard feels threatened by a cooking show. Yeah, just let that one sink in for a moment.

3. I'm Italian and in Italy hand talking and gesturing often convey
passion, genuineness and openness. In fact, hand talking is encouraged in school because it helps with creativity (they say). I feel uncomfortable not using my hands
Wilmy isn't offended enough. This is how to get offended:

10. This thread reads like a Seinfeld episode.
"Did you ever notice how annoying Hand-Talkers are?"
And yeah, I kinda do it. Just be glad I'm not a Foot Talker.

Hasn't Frank surmised that the DUmmies are prejudiced against the deaf and hard of hearing?

Well, yes, but then they are prejudiced against everyone else as well, so it kind of loses its meaning.

I cannot speak for frank, however, I find the primitives are among the most biased, prejudiced, and discriminatory people alive.
-
I'm not Italian, but guilty of using my hands when I speak. I'm very animated.

But coach doesn't like hearing people who sign, yet he's the nicest guy one could ever hope to meet.

Same here.

I'm 100% Italian and I'm also very animated,...hands, eyes, very expressive..what's wrong with these idiots? We're just being human. Perhaps that's why when I ever encounter one, I feel like I'm speaking to a mannequin.
-
*le sigh*.. I'm having a flashback moment....
I used to be very animated with my hands with I spoke.. My Grandmother is a control freak and can be a tad overbearing, but I remembersomehow I let her get to me about not talking with my hands..
When i was about 13 I remember spending the day with her to shop for school clothes and we stopped at some drink place in the mall. I used to be REALLY expressive with my hands and face when I spoke. I was in a great mood and telling her something about some crap.. All of a sudden she got stone cold and told me to sit on my hands when I speak, and that talking with my hands was "very Jewish"...
Funny the things you remember...

That's just not right at all! I probably would've shot her a bird or gave her the ol' Italian slap to the elbow lol ~ Sorry, I know it's ur Gramm..just teasin. If it were my Gram, trust me, I know how that is, never talk back...I feel for ya.

Of course.
The primitives like to think they have everybody all figured out.
And when they can't figure someone out, they hate that person.
Example: our pal Vinnie here.

I cannot speak for frank, however, I find the primitives are among the most biased, prejudiced, and discriminatory people alive.
I have found in my short time on this earth that the primitives teach and preach tolerance but are the most intolerant group on this planet.
-
Two people who really annoy me when they talk with their hands: Nancy Pelosi, and Imogene Lloyd Weber. They make their hands into claws.
-

Stick around the DUmp and read the "love and tolerance" they convey a while longer.
You ain't seen nothing yet!

They make their hands into claws.
That is Freudianly significant.
Stay away from people who make their hands into claws.
Remember, franksolich knows body language. Stay away from them; no good will come of it.
-
I don't mind people who talk with their hands. Unless they are women who have MAN HANDS:

The Seinfeld episode man hands! :lmao:

There was an article about Valerie Jarret in AmSpec. She's got hands like that.
Oh, and she's a filthy commie, through and through.
