Title: G-Mail
Post by: CG6468 on August 22, 2011, 03:23:33 PM
Anyone here use G-Mail? I used to know how to use it, but I cannot get any addresses to appear in the TO: line.

I click on To: and the address book appears, I click on a name and it sorta highlights it, but I see no way to add the names to the addressee line.

I'm sure it's a simple answer, but I've been fighting this for a few days now, since most of the time I cannot log out of Yahoo mail and was going to start using G-Mail.

Geez.............  :???:

The pop-up that comes up when you click "to" should have two boxes, the top one has your contacts, and once you've highlighted a name, it should have a check next to it in the top box, and the name should appear in the bottom box.  Once you have all the contacts that you want to send the e-mail to selected, just click done at the bottom left of the pop-up, and you'll be returned to your compose mail screen with those addresses included in your "To" box.

On edit:  There is no "two" box when you compose a message, I'm not actually an idiot and I do know the difference between 'two' and 'to'  :thatsright:

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.

Anyone else having problems logging out of Yahoo mail? 98% of the time I get a "Timed out" message.

Even though I stay logged in to G-Mail, it sometimes logs me out and I have to log back in.   I haven't tried logging out on my own.

I have no problem with G-Mail; it's Yahoo mail I can't log out of.

Yahoo also logs me out automatically every few days or so.  I don't know if it's because I'm logged in on two computers all the time or not.

I was finally able to log out, after 4 hours of trying this morning. This is ridiculous.  :censored:  :argh:

I've done that. I did all the recommended things. Since I was logged in, I sent Yahoo an email asking them WTF was going on.

There's a setting that allows you to be connected from multiple devices simultaneously. I have this turned off and as my yahoo account is used for spam only I only notice when I turn on the desktop and the IM program on the netbook gets disconnected.
