Hi Janice,
I grew up on the westside of the state and lived there many years. Finally got tired of the traffic and unfriendly folks there and moved to Thrall a few years back!
Now I have 4 seasons, folks that wave to you as you pass and a river 5 min away that I can flyfish on to my hearts desire!

catsmtrods,
I've been thinking of getting into splitting cane. I fish bamboo alot and have both new and old rods.

Have you been to the Bamboo Fair on the Metoilus?

No, I will be at the Catskill gathering 9/9-9/11 at the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum. There will be over 100 rodmakers there.

Hi good folks.
just wanted to give a shout out from the dry and good side of the state of Washington.
Welcome! With a name like Dblhaul you must be a fly-flinger. My grandmother tied salmon & steelhead flies and sold them to local anglers all her life. Try as she might to teach me but I didn't have the knack for it. I do however make a pretty mean muskie plug though, to each his own.

Enjoy!  :cheersmate:

I read an interesting article in NR by Matt LaBash about flyfishing with Dick Cheney.  I understand he's very, very good.

Welcome!

Hi Karen,
I had read that Mr Cheney is a very intense fisherman.  I've also heard that he knows what he is doing with a fly rod.

He would be welcome in my drift boat anytime!
