This is not really Late Breaking News, but Dem Rep Maxine

Waters may have made it acceptable now for African Americans to break openly with Obama.
Local television news tonight (on ABC 7 in Los Angeles) led with a story that Waters is criticizing Obama for his poor record on jobs creation and for his indifference to the economic blight in urban areas.
As is often the case with local TV news reporting here, the story was garbled almost to the point of incomprehensibility, not least by the mangled delivery of the local news anchors. But the story included an extended clip of Waters laying into Obama for visiting rural (read 'white') America on his recent bus trip while ignoring the inner cities.
N.B. National unemployment rate is currently 9.1% but among African Americans the official rate is above 16%. Waters alleges that the real rate of unemployment in Watts is in the neighborhood of 40%.
I was astounded to see a prominent black politician break so publicly with Obama. From what I know, African Americans have until now constituted one of the most reliable voting blocs for Obama.
Why should obama visit the ghetto's! He's got their vote no matter what he says or does.

3. On the ABC evening news last night,
they reported that thousands of people went to an event to apply for jobs in Atlanta. The event was organized by the Congressional Black Caucus and they had a short interview with Rep. Lewis. The Caucus is supposed to organize an event in L.A. and, I think, in Chicago. The people they interviewed at the event yesterday were getting desperate and running out of money for bills.
Ya big DUmmy. Dem folk don want jobs. Dey wan obama money.

I'm confused. The economic blight in minority areas is a direct result of a half century of liberal policies that were designed to keep people dumb, dependent, and democrat. How is BarryO more responsible than any other Dem? Shouldn't the congresswoman be giddy?

Interesting comment Win, yes the down fall of big cities did come from the Mobsters, White, Black, Latino and Asian gangs. Cannot forget the Russian gangs buying up NY City.
Gangs and mobsters no longer go to the mattrice to control areas of a city, they all get together for self protection and divide up who and what gang will controll what section.
The city's become a government within a government with the money to buy off people formally honest and drag them down to their level.
Obama knows this, he is very skilled in this department-------that is why I believe he is so at sea outside the structure he was born into.
Obama did not count on the millions of people that did not live in the City's controlled by whoever had the most money. Must have been a shock to realise that most Americans did not live in towns and city's and could fire at will the Mayor or Selectmen, Check out the town of Bell------darn near ran all administrated people out of town.
Now if we white people were to say the same as Mrs. Waters did about Obama, " Obama is a half black bigoted some of a bitch raciest" Enter the Clowns to spin and cry, weep and demand jail time for the Whites or Latinos that dared to speak such hate.
Why does Mrs. Waters hold such hate with in her, could be that Hate raises more money then any other kind of emotion ???

Don't they all, good job to get, hard at first, all those meetings, the youth ministry, midnight calls for help from a parishioner.
Some may think these ministers have chosen a job that they will not work for. WRONG--
These people work 24/7 for their job, ----then when they find a good following, all goes to hell, they can now get volunteers to do their job, and as the money rolls in hire Choir Directives security if needed and now has just one job other then one Sunday Sermon, They now have to keep the money coming in.
Those little Churches where the people gather every Sunday, most are led by laymen, If there is a need for heat or rent, the congregation takes up a collection. These Churches where no one gets wealthy on the worshipers are to me what Christianity is all about.
I have walked into a garage used as a church in the South, the music drew me, perhaps 20 people there and we were welcome, white strange folk from the north. At least 6 people ran out to look at our license plate and a New Hampshire plate let them know we were totally ignorant and they gathered us in.
These are the Christian Churches I will go to, these are the churches I will send money to, I know the money will not be pocketed but spent on paint or choir robes.
