Series Of Mysterious Cat Disappearances In Lakewood

About a dozen cats have vanished over the past few months near the Denver Federal Center and neighbors are worried the worst may be yet to come.

“I see a cat’s paw; the whole paw,” Diana Sequin said. “It just killed me. I just cried and got on my knees.”

Sequin, an owner of four cats, was devastated last week after finding part of her neighbor’s cat in her yard. It was one of many mysterious pet disappearances in her Lakewood neighborhood at Taft and West Dakota Drive.

“It’s just a sad, sad thing,” she said.

There was a fellow they called Cat XXXXXX's. He got the nick name CAT because he ate cats. That was 50 years ago but I suppose it still happens somewhere....and I wonder if they taste like chicken?

They taste more like spotted owl.

They are getting hard to find. I heard that they only serve those at the Whitehouse on special occassions.

And the fact that it's on the Federal Center (read: lots of open space, etc.) and this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.  This is why we don't have outdoor cats.  Bears, coyotes, etc., find kitties very crunchy and good with ketchup.
