HELP! Anyone know how to get into a car that has keyless entry when the battery goes dead? There's no keyhole and neither remote works, and the keypad doesn't work either. The only thing I can figure is the battery must be dead. I called Ford/Lincoln (the car is an '03 Lincoln LS) and they have no idea! There MUST be an alternative way of getting into the car. Does anyone know? I figured there was an automotive group here at DU and thought I would send you all an SOS......Please help! I'm stranded!!
Only one primitive responds, five days later, and offers no help.

1. Break a headlight and backfeed the 12V system?
I'm lost. I cannot believe the dealer could not help you.
Okay, this was from two and a half years ago.
In case the primitive's still trying to get into the car, what does one do?
And one is compelled to ask, what is a primitive doing, owning a luxury car in this terrible Bush economy, the worst economy since the dog-sled was first invented 8,036 years ago next Wednesday?

Trade it in and buy a Jap car whose battery will last 4 1/2 years like mine. :cheersmate: :o

Change or recharge the battery :-)
That'd be my first step.
