33. Eugenics Is Indeed The Conservative Republican Ethos
Boiled down to its essence. Someone posted above that the murderer should have gone for help. Help from who? The Republicans want to defund any such assistance, and they deem it as wasteful.

Which party is the party of Margaret Sanger and which party is the party of Trig Palin?
In fact, Trig's Down's Syndrome coupled with the family's religious ethos is used as a point of ridicule against Gov. Palin:

But all of this means nothing to certain liberals. A tragedy is only a political opportunity. The way Rep. Giffords was forgotten as soon as it was established Loughner was not a RWer so too will they only claim eugenics is RW so long as no one else calls them out on the facts.

sorry for the snip, Sarge.

Then left slings the mud, and hopes it sticks.
MSM runs with it, and, when it doesn't, quietly backs away.
No further mention will ever be heard, until, election time.
The slur is run out, then nothing happens.
No retraction, no truth, no nothing.
Publish the lie at all costs.

100% wrong. In the heyday of eugenics, the 1930s and early 1940s, its champions were the Progressive Democrats and Socialists in this country and England; Nazi eugenics policies evoked little if any protest from them, since until the Nazis became focused on the Jews, the Eugenicists fundamentally thought they were pursuing sound theory, if somewhat overzealously.

So the guy decapitated his 7 year old son? I consider that terrible and tragic. Where I differ with the DUmmies is that I would have considered it terrible and tragic if he would have done it 7 years and one day ago while the DUmmies would have cheered him on.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!? I have never once heard a pastor say "God loves you but weak people make him puke and He wants you to go out and smite them!"
Ignorance of religion is one thing but that crosses the line into just f***ing stupid.

SSB said exactly what I was thinking, which I'm blowing up for lurkers:
[size=16Which party is the party of Margaret Sanger and which party is the party of Trig Palin?[/size]
I remember a Margaret Sanger thread I found at the DUmp buried deeply. It had fallen to the bottom of page three after it was pointed out by a credible person there, that Margaret Sanger was one of the Progressive heroes, and then some of her more unseemly quotes were provided. Look at George Bernard Shaw, too. A leftist icon and hero. Of course, he'd have the DUmmies gassed because they're useless.
EUGENICS = PROGRESSIVISM.

Christianity says that the weak and downtrodden are favored in God's eyes. I suppose they have confused their own liberal hodge-podge of Eastern philosophical beliefs with Christianity and Judiaism.

Yes, because of the promotion of an amoral society by liberal scum like yourself.

UGH!??? It's the atheist liberals like Richard Dawkins who are broaching the topic of eugenics, claiming that eugenics "isn't so bad".

No, we don't deem it wasteful. We deem the vast majority of people who simply breed and eat on others' dimes to be wasteful, not people that really need help. But I know you have to paint someone as the evil one, and you'd never blame some lazy whore getting paid to eat, breed, and vote Democrat.

The Morality of Choosing Abortion
from RH Reality Check:
The Morality of Choosing Abortion
<snip>
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1757361
Remember, eugenics is supposed to be a RW policy. So sayeth the original thread.
But while the DUmbasses pant-hoot in agreement the flimsiest strawmen (BTW - criminals are adjudicated and wars are not undertaken electively) this is the end of the cited article:
...an individual may feel that abortion is immoral because it is a form of killing, but may feel even deeper that it is immoral and irresponsible to bring into the world a child she cannot care for. That this is the case is evident in the number of women of every faith that have abortions.
We have morals, and we have responsibilities. The choice not to bear a child can be a deeply moral one.
Got that?
The people who lie about eugenics, cannot see their way clear to allow a duly judged and appealed case to administer a capital punishment or wage war against radical ideologies (misogynist ones at that) now claim that being in a certain socio-economic status has a moral duty/responsibility/obligation to end an innocent human life.
But please, no abortion alternative counseling; that would interfere with the mother's "choice."

Okay but why is it then immoral to keep unrepentant, unredeemable murders/rapists/pedophiles alive? We can't afford to take care of them either.

The only conversations I have ever had where the person(s) I spoke with supported both eugenics and involuntary euthanasia have been with those who were of the political left.
