Is a Scorched Earth Strategy a Solution? Updated at 10:49 AM
Edited on Mon Aug-15-11 10:37 AM by MineralMan
A few, but not many, people seem to think that the best strategy would be to let everything collapse and rebuild this country from scratch. Those few people appear to believe that things have gone so far in the wrong direction that there is no reversing the trend. So, they appear to reason that we would be best served if we had a revolution, a civil war, or just a complete economic collapse. Apparently, the theory is that we'd all see the error of our ways clearly then and be able to build a new society, based on new principles, that would be fair and equitable for everyone.
Scorched earth. When the enemy is about to overrun your village, burn it all down, destroy all crops, thereby denying the conqueror the wealth in the village.
Personally, I don't see this as a positive option for the United States. I don't think most people do. But, there are some who do. I reject their arguments.
You wrecked it so.... :whatever:

I've been under the impression for the last few decades that the libs were in the midst of instigating the scorched earth policy. Culturally, morally and economically they have destoryed every thing that has given this country it's greatness.
-
There have been times when I've thought that conservatives should just let the left have free rein for one or two presidential terms, just to show the American people how flawed their policies truly are. Eight years of leftist wish fulfillment would drive reasonable people far to the right.

Well now, it seems the elmers out in the Wilderness don't like MineralMan any more than we do.

RE: A DU mole outted!
I will confess: I was Weird Al. And the mole didn't last long, naturally.
But it was still fun.
I was literally puking on MineralMan's crap.
Now they probably have a lock on my MAC address (new laptop, only a few hours old), so I'll be spoofing them when I go to DU...

George Campbell (aka) Mineralman's record of Freeperism noted:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph ...
And was banned in 2006. From my understanding, MineralMan is still a registered Republican pretending to be a Democrat, taking control over his ward.
He is a thief: http://saintpaulw6p13.blogspot.com / - he's lying TO YOU, Minnesotans about his true positions. He's one of many, many moles that needs to be surgically removed from _ALL_ Democratic positions, blogs, and many others.
He was, up until Obama's election, a big fan of McCain and was supporting him up `until that night.
As noted here as well:

In this very forum, MineralMan was active in this Randiot board up until 2008
Also: his behavior is apparently completely ignored by the admins, perhaps after receiving a princely sum to keep the board running.

I'm not buying what MineralMan is selling - are you?
(and yes, I expect to get a tombstone by the orders of one George Campbell - a confirmed self-confessed Freeper that apparently has power over the admins because of $$$)
So, goodbye and good luck, with what information I have.
In other words: George Campbell (MineralMan) is NOT DU's friend.
He should have been banned the minute he was discovered. But he is not. Why?
It's all about them Benjamins!

Allegedly supposed to be an intern of Robert Menendez's daughter, Alicia. Offers nothing of value.
Quote:Know your fake DU'ers: LoZocolo (whatever, he's a drunko)
He posts nothing of value and yet irritates the hell out of you.
Quote:Know your fake DU'ers: ClarkUSA
He has provided nothing of substance and is allegedly a paid poster from the RNC.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong all the way around.
You know, the elmers make pretty lousy detectors; they're horrible at trying to figure things out.

Pretty arrogant for a confirmed slug like RockMan to believe he'd even be on this side of the ground to see the blowback from open war in the U.S.
-
Frank, why is the former Primitive HawkEye obsessed with MM? MM is just playing the same role at the DUmp as X'd Eyes plays with the Elmers. Of course, X'd Eyes being appointed as an Admin has access that MM doesn't.

You know, I have no idea.
But I do know something else.
If it's an elmer identifying a primitive, it's wrong.
I haven't seen the elmers nail one correctly yet.

A country built upon the liberal ideology as supported by the primitives wouldn't last long at all. Top of the list, the country would be so weak militarily as to be relatively easy to conquer. But could you imagine a bunch of these whackos trying to collectively come up with a plan to to run industries to provide even the most basic of goods and services? They can't even agree what's the best way to hate and destroy those with whom they dislike. Trying to do something actually productive would show itself to be impossible.

MineralMan should be carefull of what he ask for. DUmmies are not well known to go about armed no matter how dangerous they are. Conservatives however are different. ,you never know who might be packing.
