The Tea Party isn't just one thing, nor does it follow a single

political philosophy.

It's divided into many small political categories, ranging from Dominionist Christian politics to Libertarianism. There's little unity in the Tea Party, except in its extreme dislike of anything liberal or progressive. Occasionally, they manage to come together on a particular issue, but most of the time, they're all over the place. The Tea Party isn't really for anything. It's against things.

Now wait just a minute, how can this be?
I thought the Tea Party were mindless robots all controlled by the Koch brothers, and Grover Norquist.
That's what I love about DUmmies if their talking points don't work they try new ones.

I reject the notion that we are just against things and not for anything. We have laid out what we are for from the very beginning, hell the house even submitted a bill that I'd say 90% if not more of us were for, Cut Cap and Balance, the Democrats who couldn't even come up with a budget last year, haven't offered a single idea other than raising taxes, as if raising taxes is some magic cure. During the whole debt ceiling debate the dems sat on their butts and waited for the GOP to offer ideas, only to shoot them down one by one.

So close, and yet so far.

The unifying theme isn't a hatred of Liberals, it's taxation, as an examination of the name should have told the poor putz.  I doubt anyone in the TEA Party would mind what Liberals think or do, as long as they use their own money for it.

Suffice to say that the DUmmies are always six months behind (maybe more) in really understanding the Tea Party movement is doing, or is about.

Everybody remembers the metric ton of lies about the Tea Party, like astroturfing and a whole slew of other bullshit leading up to the 2010 elections.

Mainly, we were told that the whole 2010 election was going to be a referendum on incumbents.  If it was simply about throwing out incumbents, how the hell did the Democrats only manage to flip, what, one or two seats?   You are left with two choices on that one, you guys were either flat wrong on your prediction of what the Tea Party was/is about, or you were really bad at getting your guys elected.

Ignore the Tea Party movement at your own peril in 2012.

For the most part, the little piker described average Americans.
His last two sentences wher a bit mis-leading.
Here ya go, mineralboy.
First of all, the TEA movement is for the United States, and what made it great.
"Against things"..absolutely.  The TEA movement is against socialist liberals that wish to pervert what working men and women have built over the last two hundred or so years.
