So Baucus, Murray and Kerry are going to be on that super committee...
Murray and Kerry seem to be more acceptable, but why does a guy that comes from a state that has more cows than people always find himself at the center of attention...
No one from the Midwest, Sherrod Brown would have been great except he is busy running for reelection...
Anyway, just an observation that Baucus always gets to be in the eye of the storm. I know he has seniority, but come on...

I once saw a question on an IQ test that read: "Patty Murray is to the U.S. Senate as Beth Ferrari is to all the --blank--."
Now, a few years ago there was a huge controversy over that question. It was resolved when Plugs Biden was elected Vice President.

6. Repubs only need one person to agree with them...
...and the big knives come out for Medicare and Social Security. Reid had 50 other Senators to choose from. Why did he choose Baucus?? No doubt, Baucus is the most likely to turn on the Democrats and go along with the Republicans.

It was just last week that Harry Reid was the bestest person ever!!!!!!111111

AKA the Stupid Committee. Reid already said he wouldn't appoint any Democrat who would give ground on entitlements for his part, I believe the GOP said something in the same vein but perhaps not quite as strong with regard to tax increases. Sounds like a total deadlock in the making.

That was the plan all along. That allow the default across the board cuts to the military and entitlement programs to happen without a vote.
