Notice how our recovery tanked once the Right Wing took over the House?
Do you think that Republicans did everything they could to hurt Obama and US, so's they'd get elected?

To be fair to the DUmmy, he has heard from 0bama and the media that we were in a recovery pretty much since 0bama took office. he can't help it, that he is stupid enough to buy their crap.

Did you notice how the debt took off right after the democrats took control? ....and the housing market crashing.

That's what I was wondering.
It seems to me that since January 3, 2007, we've been on a constant downward spiral.

I'd argue it started before that since the GOP lost their way, however since Pelosi was handed the gavel, the damage being inflicted was on steroids.
Then in 2011 the GOP came to town and have been bit by bit trying to chip away at the damage being done, but the senate and 0bama block anything based on common sense.

Recovery summer was pushing up daisies long before the Republicans took control of the house.

Well, Hades, I did some research on how ignorant the primitives are, given that one of them at this campfire thinks the president can adjourn Congress. It's scary, such intellectual slobs can vote (or have some guy in an office down in city hall vote for them).
I found this, in which a primitive had inquired why if the president didn't get along with the House and Senate leaders, he just didn't fire them (an ancient reference to Bela Pelosi and Scary Harry).

6. I agree, but
How do we get rid of them? Can the president fire them, or are they there no matter what? If there is a way, I would love to see them go!

The President can adjourn Congress
"[The President] may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper." While many people know that the president can call a special session of Congress, it is less well known that he can actually adjuorn them if they disagree about when they want to adjourn.

I don't know what this means. It's never been done.

Oh, 9% unemployment is bad, but 10% unemployment was a thundering high-water mark?
Only in malignantly DUmmorrhoidal brain tissue can those two concepts co-exist.

I hope ObeyWon knows of this and does it so that he can make recess appointments. :fuelfire:
