Jay Carney: “The White House doesn’t create jobsâ€
POSTED AT 4:48 PM ON AUGUST 4, 2011 BY ALLAHPUNDIT
PRINTER-FRIENDLY
Alternate headline: “Jay Carney helpfully provides GOP with new campaign slogan.â€
Carney listed legislative priorities the president believes will create jobs, including an infrastructure bank, the passage of free trade agreements, and tax cuts. But he would not say what was being done to further those goals while Congress takes a month-long vacation.
“The White House doesn’t create jobs,†Carney said, adding “the government, together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation.â€
Asked whether the White House could do more, Carney said “there is no silver bullet†to creating jobs — but he didn’t answer the question.

-
It doesn't create private sector jobs, but it can and does destroy those jobs.
-
They're like petulant children--they give you the right answer and tell you the stove is hot, but put their hands on it anyway.

Carney listed legislative priorities the president believes will create jobs
Create one government job by killing 10 private sector jobs?
including an infrastructure bank
Bilking the taxpayers with yet another do-nothing-but-absorb-taxpayer-dollars institution?
the passage of free trade agreements
Sending more jobs to China are we?
and tax cuts.
I cut your taxes $1 and then raise them $2. See what I'm doin' here?
But he would not say what was being done to further those goals while Congress takes a month-long vacation.
I'm sure getting some vacation time in himself, at $300,000 a day with his full entourage. I hear Mexico is nice this time of year, Mr. President. Might I suggest Juarez?
“The White House doesn’t create jobs,â€
Freudian slip?
Carney said, adding “the government, together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation.â€
Carney said, adding "the government, together - White Mosque, DC Brothel - creates policies that allow for greater government job creation while killing off twice as many private sector jobs.
FIXED!
Asked whether the White House could do more, Carney said “there is no silver bullet†to creating jobs — but he didn’t answer the question.[/i]
Sure there is, you just pass legislation or sign an executive order and yet another worthless, taxpayer-fleecing, money guzzling failure of a bureaucracy is born!

So I guess that means Bush couldn't have destroyed any, then, right?

What the hell does that mean?

What the hell does that mean?
It means exactly what he said. :thatsright:

Sorry, Chris, but I still just don't understand the remark. I read it yesterday, thought about it, and re-read it this morning, and I still don't get it.

A "Freudian slip" means unintentionally speaking a hidden truth that the speaker did not mean to reveal.
Accordingly, the comment here means that while Carney was trying to say "No President can directly create jobs by just his own independent Executive action," what actually came out could easily be taken to mean "This President is as useless as tits on a boar."

While I agree that this president is a useless F***. Tits on a boar hog do serve a purpose...they mark where you cut down his belly between them to remove his guts.

There is a whole entourage of White House created jobs following MooChelle around at her beck and call.

Talk about bloated titles:
Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady Salary - $36,000
A "Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady"? Does that mean this person licks the f'n stamps that go on the invitations to another one of the First Wookie's parties? :whatever: :loser: :bird:
-
I think that's the person that runs the First Lady's Twitter account.
