REMEMBER: The war on terror was just a ruse to keep you scared because a frightened populace is more pliable, more easily lead. You TEA Party types need your authoritarian overlords to control you. You crave being told what to do and how to live. You need the myth of the wild-eyed jihadist to give your life meaning.

Teabagger ideas in practice...no more "free rides" on the school bus for you!
Wondering if they might be rethinking their NO vote on the referendum earlier this year. Also, a middle school, and two elementary schools will be closing their doors. I live in this area...the sound you hear are our property values hitting rock bottom.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Amid a fight over school bus fees in Franklin Township Schools, parents and police are bracing for hundreds of extra cars on the road when classes begin a week from Wednesday.
Parents now have to pay $475 per child for bus transportation, prompting many to consider driving their children instead.
<snip>
Why does all the free stuff liberals promise us always cost so much?

2. Big Oil must LOVE this! Teach the kids that public transportation is "unaffordable".

7. Exactly. Gotta push for faster climate change and crumbling infrastructure!
Because gas prices ain't high enough, the poor ain't poor enough, 104 degree Summers aren't hot enough, and no pothole is too big!

3. And while we're at it, only those who can afford school should attend. The rest ...
... can go work the fields meaning we can deport all the brown people!

Still a lot of farmland. No sidewalks, except in the housing additions, few street lights, etc. I sincerely hope nobody gets injured or worse.
Gonna be a nightmare.
Congested farmland
Crumbling infrastructure
Drunken parents
Climate change
Feudal serfdom
Racism
Child labor
Oil conspiracies
Imminent death and dismemberment of innocent children
These terrorists who convince people to vote NO on higher property taxes must be stopped or we're all dead.

OMG, I never realized that my mom and dad were so callous when they made me walk the 3 or 4 blocks from school as a little first grader! The monsters! :censored:

You knew they hated you the moment they declined to abort.

Where I lived in CA there were no buses for any child. Budget cuts. Over 10% state taxes and over $10k in property tax and they can't afford buses.

Sounds like a liberal's wet dream!

This is standard procedure whenever a school levy fails.
First you cut sports.
Then you cut transportation.
It's in the school superintendent's handbook. You always cut things to punish the voters. You never reduce the number of office staff, baby sitters, assistant to the assistant principal, dean of diversity, or the Swahili teacher. You cut things people want, then give them a second chance to vote on the levy.
It's not unlike the Kenyan's threat to hold up Social Security benefits.

Just like cities always threaten to lay off police and firefighters before anything else.

They "pink slipped" a ton of teachers last year. My 6th grade daughter had 32 kinds in her class (and this was supposed to be a really good school) here she has less than 20. In the school she will be going to if we buy this house we are looking at in Austin there are on average 16 kids per class. So CA, the liberal ideal, 32 kids per class. In "backasswords" Texas between 16-20 kids per class. The bonus, Texas has buses (and no state income tax), CA does not. Seems like one state is better at managing their money.
