Does anyone else feel like there's no hope left?
I'm so tired. This has been a horrible summer, astronomically high temps, food/gas prices soaring, and the whole economy thing. Personally I've had issues this summer as well--sucky job, no chance of a pay raise, and i developed Bell's Palsy, too, and got to listen to my bosses telling me how horrible I looked for weeks. What little reserve of hope that I had is totally gone. I'll never be able to retire; hell, I can hardly keep my head above water as it is, and according to some, I make "good" money, but it's barely enough to cover the basics. I'd lay down and cry, but I don't even have that much energy.

4. I agree
Ever since the public option cave in or lie fell through. Let's see if all the "Hope" and "It's all Bush's fault" bullshit works again in 2012.

15. I can beat you....
...I haven't felt any hope since November of 1980.
When you reach a certain age you've seen 'the America we all know' die more times than the hero's black sidekick.

2. No hope if we keep on the present course.
Whether any large turn-around is still possible, I don't know.

5. The left is strengthening globally. But I have little hope for the left wing of the Dem party.
It's now a neoliberal institution.

Hang in there! Where there is life there is hope.
When it starts cooling off (if) then we may see some protests and the people may start to get mad as hell. Good things can happen without prediction and we can hope that enough folks will get the message that the push will start for sanity. The problems are huge but there ARE solutions.
Don't rain on their pity party. Let them be miserable. There is no hope for DUmmies.

8. No hope left. There's no difference between parties anymore. .
Anyone that believes that is so far left and so stooooopid that they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Maybe the Mayans had DUmmies too.

And the Mayans probably gave their DUmmies intimate knowledge about obsidian.

If the DUmmies have no hope, then I say there may yet be hope for America. :-)

Someone else didn't get their Skittle Shittin' Unicorn yet.

Well, you know, as soon as it gets cooled off real well, it'll be getting close to finals week...

Shame on you, all of you! Especially those of you who have children. You crush their spirits by teaching them they'll spend their lives as pawns with no hope. That they can't possibly make anything of themselves because the world is against them. And if the government doesn't help them, give them handouts they might as well give up. All you people do is try to convince yourselves and everyone else how compassionate you are but what kind of compassion teaches children they're worthless,? What kind of goodness and compassion teaches them they might as well not even bother because no matter how hard they work, they'll never get ahead. You people are vile!

I wonder who this might be from our side who is saying that? (Certainly not a Dummy's post, I don't think.)
Good job Crazy Dave :-)

The planet can take this much and more from us, we are no more than gnats on an elephant's ass to it.
On the other hand, I hope the Mayans were WRONG about 12/21/2012.
My birthday is 12/29. :naughty:

Well said.
I've thought of that, too.

Well since you waterheads want to ban guns you are going to have to off yourselves the hard way.

"It's all Bush's fault" bullshit
Whoa! That caught my eye, too. You mean that's not resonating with you anymore? Or just a clever mole?
I hope that our guests chance upon Delilah's post and ponders it for a bit.

There you go attributing normal family arrangements to a population chock full of child-hating, birth-control-through-abortion, too-self-absorbed-to-raise-kids and/or homosexual nutcases on the innerwebz.

DUmp despair may be sad, but it isn't necessarily unfounded. A civilized society can't function without the labor of an underclass, and DUmp democrats have served that purpose for generations. It's very likely most of their children will maintain the tradition, though it's not politically correct to recognize that. A portion of the underclass are welfare leeches, but many others are important to the community.
I believe that as long as people are free, they will stratify into classes, and children are very likely to become adults in the class to which they were born. It's not preordained or inevitable, and kids need to be told that, but it's likely. DUmp democrat kids haven't struck out, but they're born with an 0-2 count.

If? Are you implying that global warming is now here to stay and we will see the temperatures of July go well into December?
You are all a bunch of babies. If you believed in something, get your asses out on the street, no matter the weather, and make your point known. There will be bottled water for sale for $10 per bottle, just go to the girl wearing huge platform American flag shoes. She has the best prices.

She probably paid 95 cents per bottle for it! :cheersmate:

Wow, all of those posts from DU? How dumb do you have to be to say that you're losing hope if you're a democrat and you've shoved all of your dream legislation down the throats of Americans who didn't want it? Their president just got a $2.4 trillion blank check, they are not legally bound to actually cut spending, they did nothing to reduce debt, single payer health insurance is off to a great start, and they have their first black president. All in the span of 2 years. Everything is going their way and they're complaining about losing hope?
Does this qualify them as mentally ill? It certainly sounds like a case of Munchauser Syndrome by Proxy to me.
