NJ Transit Bus Idles for 5 Hours With Dead Driver
Monday, Aug 1, 2011  |  Updated 11:59 AM EDT

Officials are trying to determine why an NJ Transit bus with a dead driver inside idled for nearly five hours at the Port Authority terminal in New York.

Thomas Truex was found slumped in a passenger seat around 3 p.m., hours after he dropped off his last commuters Thursday morning.

Had to be a union driver from NJ, doing what comes naturally - not much if anything at all, so no one would notice if anything was amiss.

What a wunnerful place is NYC! (http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/NJ-Transit-Bus-Idles-for-5-Hours-With-Dead-Driver-126507048.html)

New, modern trucks and buses have computer systems hooked to cell phone systems or satelites and the company/owner can tell exactly where the bus/truck is located, the speed, engine RPM, oil and water level, temperture, everything and if it idles over so long or the drivers log time runs out, shut it down. So, they are either running very old equipment or the unions don't want anyone checking up on the drivers.

 :rotf:

Me and 22 Liberals get on a bus, we all have fare in hand but the driver ignores us, we all fill up the FREE bus and wait to go where we want to.''

After 20 minutes or so, what the **** we all off load and pay to climb aboard another bus.

Nothing abnormal about this, like stepping over a dead person on the street-----Shit happens.

Reminds me of NGO and a Lion taking down a Zebra while 20 feet away other Zebras graze on the grass with no concern.

I'm sure he'll file a grievance.

Yeah, he was terminated without Just Cause....and he'll be on paid leave until his case is settled.
