Does anyone think that know-it-all nadin realizes how comical her fractured English sounds?
Condescension is so much more effective if you get the grammar right.
Her title sounds a little like someone infinitely smarter than she will ever be, Chief Joseph: "I will fight no more forever."

Elections no longer matter any more
When we had strong majorities a "democratic" platform was very difficult to pass.
When Republicans control ONE damn house, they can push their agenda.
Tell me again, how elections matter?
No, don't get me wrong, I will not sit up the election... but elections do not matter. We need to find ways to work AROUND them... and to give up the fantasy that they matter... because they don't.

But...election victories are the reason Republicans can push their agenda. So...elections actually do matter, right?
This is so confusing. At least the nutcase won't "sit up" the election.

3. What the reality that they don't matter?
Tell me how much of the PROGRESSIVE agenda was actually passed with control of both houses and the WH? That was the promise, wasn't it?
How much of the RADICAL RIGHT WING TEA PARTY AGENDA IS GETTING SHOVED ON US RIGHT NOW WITH CONTROL OF ONE HOUSE?
As I said, elections really do not matter anymore. All countries go through this crap.
Of course we also have the most dysfunctional Congress in history... but that is another story... oh since the civil war

4. It was difficult but things happened
Good things. Less and slower than I would have liked, but they did happen. We lost last time, not only lost, but lost to a bunch of know-nothing extremists, and now we see the consequences. Therefore eletions still matter.

Elections do matter and saying they don't equates to voter suppression which is not appropriate on DU.
I wonder if any of the DUmbasses realize what an insult it is that their mods think they'll be influenced by a crackpot like nadin.

There is a simple reason why little progressive agendas were passed other than ObamaCare, DADT repealed and a couple of other things. Even the dumbest DemonRat congresscritter knows that most of Americans lean right or are centrist, not leftist scum like DU. They wanted to get reelected.

This is nutcase starting a new thread, but it's really a continuation of the earlier one. It was so hilarious, I had to bring it over:

This is the REPUBLICAN DEBT... but them
spending like drunken sailors allows them to PASS THEIR TOXIC AGENDA with control of ONE house... how's that change working for ya?
Yes frustration and in real life, you[sic] where I happen to live PEOPLE ARE PISSED, REALLY PISSED... mostly at the crazies, but also at the democrats, the former for being crazy, the latter for a lack of spine.
THS[sic] should not be happening... alas it is. So this needs to teach people that the standard ways no longer work... PERIOD.
ORGANIZE and INFILTRATE our own party, this is what this is about. Primary every democrat to try to pull this party to whatever the left is... I really have no clue any more. I knew it was MIA... at this point, as much fantasy from the radical right as there is... it is DEAD... stiff, pinning in the fjords. etcetera.
The COUNTRY, LARGE FRACKING MAJORITIES OUTSIDE DC want one thing... but less than 20% of the county is getting it's way. Tell me how is this working fer ya?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1621722
She did it again! "Pinning in the fjords"! That hilarious mexicanized version of the Monty Python quote has appeared twice in nutcase nadin ravings.
As far as people pissed where she lives, she must mean her crappy condo development. The San Diego area isn't as loony as LA and Sodomy City.

For example: Sit up is really, Sit out. Nadin will not sit out the election.
Where everyone commits a Nadism occasionally, frequent occurrence is the sign of a real tard, especially if that person claims to have written books.

This bears further explanation.
Are you suggesting that because you believe that elections are fixed, you need a way to circumvent the whole process to change the outcome in your favor?

H5 for discovering the key point of her post.

Oh for ****'s face, do you constantly have to pick on poor Nadin? I'm just going to sit up every thread that she appears in now.

For ****s face, how in the hell does expressing that opinion as stupid as it is, equate with voter suppression?
She even said she wasn't going to jumping jack, umm, I mean push up, no I mean sit up, yeah that's it she wasn't going to sit up the next election.

I can explain that for you, my dear Needinabrewski:
For you, "Pushing your agenda" means passing a massive slate of legislation to overturn a perfectly-well-functioning society, destroying Capitalism and creating a world not unlike Vonnegut's short story about the Handicapper General, with the worst features of the Citizens' Committees in post-Revolution/Pre-Consular France.
For us, "Pushing our agenda" just means keeping you from destroying the country any more than you already have, with the cherry on top being a modest rollback of some of your crazier spendthrift programs.
I do have to say that lately it has appeared to me that a never-ending accretion of overlapping Federal regulations and regulatory agencies may be an even bigger threat to our long-term prosperity than your rapacious social engineering and taxation plans, however the GOP itself has yet to focus any significant energy on that problem.

Ah, but you aren't looking to history Nadin. You aren't studying the clear patterns correctly. Much like the Battle of the Tjater Pass, the democrats also will fail as the Republicans are akin to the B-52 aircrews. They Stay Up Longer, Penetrate Deeper, & Deliver a Heavier Load.
Alas don't ever forget the lesson of the Alamo..... those $12 buckets of beer? are you kidding me? what's not to love.

DU has crossed the Rubicon.

I've noticed a pattern with her posts wherein she slips into a grammatical coma. Right after lunch. Maybe she washes her tuna salad down with a 6 pack of PBR.

I think many of her Sesame Street style posts are brought to us by the letters T, H, and C - and the number 420.

Well maybe the problem is trying to "push" their agenda on the rest of the country since we clearly don't want it.

I doubt anyone else has watched the series, but the nadinictionary reminds me so much of the character Ricky in The Trailer Park Boys.
His rickyisms are dead ringers for nadinisms.
For example, he once mentioned his mother's "mating name", and he dreads a "worst case ontario".
