I have a question for two separate topics.

#1 What do you use to keep your disposal clean and smelling nice. I have tried the lemon balls and special disposal cleaner. Do you have a househeld remedy that would work just as well???

#2 What are your favorite cleaners?? I like Soft Scrub(Total Kitchen)Spray. Arm and Hammer with Oxy Clean for the bathroom.

I use a mixture of ammonia , alcohol and water with a few drops of dish-washing detergent in a squirt bottle for a general cleaner.

I use a product called "Demestos" which is essentially caustic soda and chlorine, for anything else.

well that was a waste of a cuke and a meaty sausage, I would have eaten those!!!

Not a fan of disposals.  I don't use them.  If you want to clean it and make it smell good, I would suggest baking soda, and white vinegar.  But, the only thing that cleans em out is not using them. 

My favorite cleaners are pretty basic.  Vinegar, bleach, baking soda.  Good enough for my grandma and I am cheap.   :-)

I do love those scrubbing bubbles disposable toilet cleaners, and clorox wipes too.

run ice through the disposal. It will actually sharpen the blades. The drop half a lemon down it and run it. You'll be pleased with the results.
