Post by: namvet on July 25, 2011, 12:01:37 PM
looks like they settled it

NFL owners and players agreed early Monday to the terms of a deal to end the lockout, and players were expected to begin their voting process later in the day, two people familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.

A lot is gonna depend on the "off season" conditioning by the players. I expect a lot of injuries.

GO CHIEFS AND RAMS!

^ Exactly! That's what I was saying the other day. However...

I've so been waiting to play this again. One of my very favorite NFL themes. :-)

Right now, I can just be happy. When they have a press conference, THEN I can start worrying about the detals. (Such as 600k more a year for players. The shit of the shit make 5 figure sums for crying out loud.)

Ugh...I'm doing it already. :censored:

Rev, they played it on their NASCAR broadcasts earlier this year (not often), and they play it at least once an MLB broadcast.

Football means that deer season is close. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Are we going to do fantasy football?  If so count me in.

I must defend my Championship.

If so, I skipped out last year, and will not be repeating. I will become the CCFFC!

I haven't set one up yet.  Was kind of waiting on the lockout.  I'll get to it today sometime.

The great owner of my hometown team just let his best player retire!! I don't blame Carson Palmer at all. But for Mike Brown not to trade him and at least get a draft pick for him is retarded. I am sad to report that I actually used to own season tickets to the fiasco called the Bengals. Gave them up a few years ago and couldn't have made a better financial decision.

I am considering a Steelers love affair. Big Ben went to Miami of Ohio (same college as me), the are a small market team (like cincy), Mike Tomlin used to coach at the University of Cincinnat, and they win. Plus, their colors are black and gold which are the same colors of the greatest wrestling college ever, the Iowa Hawkeyes. It's settled, I am now a Steeler fan.

^ Hi-5. I wouldn't have the brain capacity to do that.

Packers just re-signed Barnett. Does that mean that A.J. is on his way out the door??

Oh, and if the Jets do indeed sign Namdi, they're going to have the best CB tandem in the league. Not to mention Jim Leonhard in the back as well. Their secondary will be monserous!

The Cards also signed Kevin Kolb. Thank God for them. If they went one more year with Skelton or that other guy, Fitz would have been outta there IMO. Their offense WILL be better this year. Mark my words. (Though...that wouldn't take much. :whatever:)

The Bears have already been numerically eliminated from any playoffs, and the season hasn't even begun yet.

No Pamer, no Ocho, no Jonathon Joeseph, so far no Ced Benson. I am so glad I decided to change my affiliation.

Asomugha to the Eagles! Damn, who saw that one coming? Now they have Asomugha, AND Rodgers-Cromartie. Who's going to be able to throw on them? At least, to anyone but the tight end, and the back? Anyone think Asante is gone now?

I don't know much about the Eagles. Who are their pass rushers? Usually d-backs get their interceptions because of qb pressure. If they have do have good d-linemen and a good blitz package, then this sucks for anyone who doesn't like them. Shit, even the nickel package is more solid than most team's 4-3 or 3-4. Good pick up for Eagle fans for sure.

Trent Cole, and they also just signed Cullen Jenkins yesterday, I believe it was. Shit, they look like the team to beat in the NFC this year. Defensively, they're going to be astounding. Offensively...very powerful. We'll see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if my Pack were playing them in the NFC Championship.

Which reminds me, the Bills got rid of MLB Posluzny (sp?) but they just signed Barnett today. Not a bad tradeoff if you ask me.

CG- Think you need to rename two of your opponents...
Oct. 10---there might be one Spanish - American war vet. still alive in Detroit, so the *****cat lions will still be in hiding.
Nov. 7 ---- there isn't an"all-Star" of any kind on the claws Lions of Detroit, so you shouldn't be degrading true All-Stars that way.
