1. Tangled wreckage near government buildings

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14252515

<snip>

The explosion caused damage to the offices of the Norwegian Prime Minister

A large explosion has hit near government headquarters in the Norwegian capital Oslo.

The blast is thought to have caused damage to the offices of Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and a number of other official buildings.

Initial reports suggested Mr Stoltenberg was unharmed.

At least eight people were injured in the city centre explosion, local media reports. No-one has said they were behind the attack.

Television footage from the scene showed rubble and glass from shattered windows in the streets - smoke was around some buildings. The wreckage of at least one car was in street.

For those who don't know, Norway has an odd parliamentary system.  The party in power retains the leadership for five years, no matter what happens in parliament.  At the moment, Norway has a center-left prime minister and cabinet, but a center-right parliament.

It's a Norwegian state of affairs.

2. Whoa - showing footage on MSNBC now. Don't know what it could have been other than intentional -- not a gas leak or something. Must have been a LARGE explosion!

A prominent Presbyterian--or perhaps it was a Methodist--clergyman was convicted of terrorism in Norway the other day.

11. The terrorists obviously want to change the news cycle to highlight their agenda.

Yeah, those publicity-seeking Presbyterians and Methodists.

38. The problem with 'terror-related' is that it usually

infers that it is linked to Middle Easterners - it could as easily be right wing terrorism as McVeigh taught the world.

They'll be forever digging up and humping the dessicated corpse of Timothy McVeigh when something like this happens, even though thirty years of "right wing terrorism" is dwarfed by a single week's worth of playtime activities by the Religion Of Peace.

At least it wasn't those fearsome Christian fundie terrorists again, gluing the door locks of a Planned Parenthood clinic or some other such atrocity.

Actually, the malarial primitive is just being sillily ridiculous at that campfire.

She doesn't want to say who really did it.

I'm sure its just over-exuberant celebration of Leif Erikson Day a few months early - that's all.. It's just crazy Norwegian Viking high jinx.. Couldn't possibly be related to anything else...
