in the real world, most people are decent and there is a reasonable number of progressive or idealistic people but get online and it seems like most places you're shouted down by the truly whacky whackjobs

i'm glad DU provides a haven because i haven't really encountered another discussion forum, that is very active, that doesn't have a certain amount of wingnuttery and i'm just tired of the stupids

I love how in one breath, they are legion, yet in another they are 'overwhelmed' by 'teabaggers' everywhere else they post or used to post.

If there are so many of you, why are you always outnumbered unless you keep within a gated community such as DU ?
