Eric Cantor's simmering insistence on avoiding tax hikes has boiled to a political tempest in Washington's debt negotiations, infuriating Democrats who are now labeling the majority leader as "childish" and forcing Republicans to insist there's no rift between House Speaker John Boehner and his top deputy.

Cantor's steadfast refusal to raise taxes as part of a deal to increase the nation's $14.3 trillion debt limit has earned him praise from the Tea Party wing of his own party, but the scorn of Democrats, who are demanding the No. 2 House Republican be booted from negotiations.

"Eric Cantor has shown that he shouldn't even be at the table and Republicans agree he shouldn't be at the table," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on the chamber's floor Thursday.

So here we go! Cantor has brass ones and now the left will use the Alinksky rules, call him names make him the problem. I am so sick of this.

Err......it's now being reported that Obama stormed out of the negotiations like a petulant 8 year-old, after telling Republicans to "leave your requisites at the door".......

Who's being childish??

Note to Dems:

You had your chance to pass broad tax increases when you controlled both houses of congress with a supermajority.......you didn't......

Instead, you refused to pass a budget for over two years......you wanted to cram Obamacare, TARP, bailouts, DADT, etc down the throats of the American people  (for the most part) without a single Republican vote.....and against the will of an overwhelming majority of the populace.

You had your chance and you blew it........

After getting your collective asses handed to you at the polls last November, do you REALLY think you can get them now?

Kabuki Theater.......

Obama:  Eric, don't call my bluff. I'm going to take this to the American people.

Cantor should have smiled and said "go for it".

In essence, by his actions, that is exactly what Cantor said.......

Republicans said tense negotiations over raising the $14.3 trillion debt limit at the White House ended when President Obama stormed out of the meeting with a stern warning to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.): “Don’t call my bluff.”

“It ended with the president abruptly walking out of the meeting,” Cantor told reporters Wednesday upon returning to the Capitol.

Another subtle "facet" of this attack on Cantor relates from the anti-semitism that radiates from the anti-semite in chief.

Turns out that Cantor is jewish. He is in fact the first (historical as the press likes to say) jewish majority leader.

We all know what 0dumbo thinks of jews. And it shows.. not just from him but by his side kicks as well.

He just cant help himself. Its who he is.

Let me see here, Obama has roots in Kenya.   He hates the colonialism of his ancestors country.

I am curious about how I missed in world history the records of any Jewish population marching into Kenya and inslaving the citizens.

Whats with the anti Semitic folks having any beef with the Jews, darn Israel has only been around for 60+ years in human History.

The Jews did not march into Israel like storm troopers to gun down all Muslims, they were Given that small plot of land by the World to give them a place to go so they would not wander about, perhaps go home to their birth land and demand the property back that was taken from them.  Europe was terrified that the Jews would in fact come home and retrieve the property, lands and on to the Swedish banks to remove the money that was placed there
before the Holocaust.   The banks realised that if a million or more people were to demand their money the banks would fold.

Museums around had fits that the Art work they had on display stolen from the Jews would be reclaimed by the rightfull heirs or owners.

So, as I have been educated to believe, Not one country in the entire world was willing to give up one foot of their country to give the survivors a place to go.

Finally the Brits had an outpost in the middle of no where that was a burden on them financially, no Oil, no good agriculture wise to farm, hot, dry and of worth to only a few tribes of Muslims that did not have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out.

In a debateable gesture the Jews were given this very very small plot to go to, figuring they could not survive there either.

Problems started when Israel declared that this land was the home land of Jews world wide, , totally unexpected the Christians became involved with projects as in Plant a tree in Israel.    Totally unexpected was the Jews all over the world sent their best educated to construct and build a totally new world for their people.

Synagogues raised billions of dollars to help out as world wide most Jews had family living there or wanted to go there.

Amazing what the survivors of the holocaust have created in just little more then our life time.

Why Antisemitism, why this Fear or Anger at the Jews that have done us no wrong, matter of fact without money from the Jews to help us we could not have won the Revolutionary war, Civil war or WW1-2.

These people of faith have never endangered any Comunity anywhere unless I missed that part of History also.

Still at my age I have never been understood why the world wide population of the ignorant to the well educated have had this problem for thousands of years.

Curious as when the Christians blame the death of Jesus on the Jews, are they saying Jesus was not who he said he was???

Obama poor man has been sold a bill of shit from birth and he will reap the whirl wind.

Perhaps this should go into religious discussion.  The tie in with religion and politics is a 2 for hard to discuss either with out the other.

Eric Cantor is starting to tin foil this whole budget debate. He just mentioned that people don't ask for their taxes to be raised. However, we know that Buffett/Munger of Berkshire Hathaway have both said that their taxes need to be raised. I don't think this Cantor guy is the sharpest tool in the shed. I think his political sense rivals Congressman Ryan who was assigned to the bleachers after trying to take away Medicare

The misfits are escaping the hive, Skinner is not doing his job... (http://www.businessinsider.com/eric-cantor-just-lied-buffett-said-he-wants-his-taxes-raised-2011-7)

Yes, my fellow Americans, I know we can’t write a budget or pay our debts and there won’t be any Social Security checks for a while, but please don’t give up on windpower, don’t give up on high-speed rail, don’t give up on Obamacare and don’t give up on me. It’s all the Republicans’ fault!
