After the Governor of Arizona signed the immigration bill that "demanded papers", you DUmmies were all :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic:
And you were discussing boycotts of Arizona, and specifically targeted the 2011 All-Star game in Phoenix for a big protest. Which is tonight.
I scanned the DUmp, and not a ****ing peep out of you today. Where's that all-mighty DU Activist Corps????

What others are saying about the fizzled boycott of the MLB All-Star Game
When Arizona's anti-immigration law, SB 1070, was passed, many wondered if Major League Baseball or its players would use Tuesday's All-Star Game as a vehicle to stage a protest. And while a large number of players have declined to play, it appears our state's politics are not being given as the reason.
Here's what is being said about the boycott that never came about.
The New York Times: At All-Star Game, Politics and Passion Are Also in Play
Demonstrators plan to pass out white ribbons; Phoenix plans to pass out chains.
So it goes in the old immigration game. For all the hopeful blather that the wealthiest players would take one for a cause, baseball is arriving in broiling Phoenix, ready for the Home Run Derby and all the feel-good ceremonies and the All-Star Game itself on Tuesday.Text
Fizzled isn't the word, epic fail is more like it. Passing out white ribbons? That'll show 'em. Recall Senate President Russell Pearce? Even the Repubs are glad to be rid of him, including the local RW radio wingnutz.

1. It's not like the All Star Game is a big deal anymore
most of the people who attend are from the host city anyway

2. Boycotts are stupid and rarely work
For every one that works, there are ten times as many that fizzle out into obscurity or do not achieve the desired outcomes.
Spell check takes too much time. I don't use it. So sue me.
They know about it, they're just too embarrassed to bring it up.

Adrian Gonzalez
Hey fool, Adrian Gonzalez was in Monday nights Home Run Derby! So much for shining the spotlight. Get over yourself, you have no idea what this situation is all about.
