the "tea party" are not wealthy, yet they demand lower taxes for the richest 2%. They demand the dismantling of Social Security and Medicare, even though many of those idiots use those programs.
I know someone who was infuriated about the off-shoring of jobs, yet during the midterms voted for Carly Fiorina over Barbara Boxer.

Do you know why we want low taxes for the evil rich? It's not that bullshit answer you goons dream up either. The first reason we don't want the rich taxed into poverty, is we believe in freedom, if a person has something then it belongs to them, not you, not me, it's theirs.
Secondly the more practical reasons being, when you tax the hell out of the rich that leaves less money to go into the economy. I know left hates "trickle down" economics, but it does work. Does it make everyone an instant millionaire? Of course not, but jobs are required in order to produce the goods and services that the evil rich pay money for. The left loves wealth redistribution, so they should love capitalism. wealth is redistributed all the time. The part they don't like is that people have a choice to where their money goes, and to get your piece from them, you have to actually do something to get it. For the DUmmies just sitting there with hands held wide open waiting for bills freshly pealed from 0bama's stash is a hard days work.

I don't think they have the numbers that dems or repigs have (maybe I am wrong). So why do they have so much control over congress?.
Th reason the Tea Party baffles you is, first of all the right isn't known for protesting and gathering in the streets, secondly it completely baffles you that their is no leader of this group and no one buses people in and gives them sack lunches for attending. A true grassroots movement is foreign to you. You are also under the impression that the Tea Party is just a bunch of disgruntled republicans, when in reality people from all political stripes are concerned about what our govt is doing. Anyone with any sense whatsoever knows that we can't keep going down the road like this.

Another classic textbook case of where a primitive thinks that just because the primitive says something, it's true.

There is nothing that benefits me from "soaking the rich". Whatever profit I would get from that would be ill-gotten, and would necessarily make me dependent on lying, corrupt politicians, who will promise me the moon, if I only vote for them..
I look at groups that long ago bought the Democrat Party lie of cradle to grave entitlements. They are among the poorest, most uneducated people you will ever meet. There is no hope for them, because entitlements have sucked the American soul right out of them. They have no drive, no reason to better themselves, because they can always get that (laughably meager) check from Uncle Sam every month. So they do nothing. They remain dumb, dependent and Democrat until the day they die.
So I look at my other option: work my ass off. Sure, it isn't fun. I miss out on a lot of stuff I would love to do, but I've got bills to pay and I've got to be able to eat. In the meantime, I put a few bucks aside whenever I can to save for the future, because I do have things that I want to eventually do.
I want to eventually go into business for myself. That's going to end up taking more of my time than anything I'm doing now, and my reward from you will be your utter contempt, but I'm okay with that. In the words of a Tim McGraw song:
Me I'm just working hard to get to that place,
Where everybody hates me

Oh, the same Barbara Boxer who was a Senator when all the tech jobs went overseas, because of the prohibitive cost and paperwork of doing business in the US due to the burden of State and Federal taxes and regulations?

Taxing capital means that capital leaves the taxed zone.
We need more tax payers. More taxpayers means less people on the dole so it is a 2 times factor for our country.
