Rather than withhold Medicare 'til age 67, shouldn't we just cut it off at, say, 90?
Hell, if we're talking about uninsuring the elderly, isn't there a greater cost benefit in just cutting of the extreme elderly folks? They're the most expensive class int he program.
C'mon, Dems, it's death-panel time, so let's put it all on the table. Which group should die first?
That's been their plan all along.

How truly productive is someone once they sure pass 90? At what point does the cost of the hip replacement outweigh the benefit?

It's tough, though i don't begrudge anybody needing medicare to have it. People work all their lives to recieve it, so they deserve it!! People are living longer, trying to take better care of themselves. My father who is 71, plays tennis 3 times a week(still works) and my mother(retired after stepdad started having heart problems and was diagnosed with cancer.)swims at her local club 3 times or more. My stepdad was an active golf player up until 5 years ago...and he is 82!! The grandchildren and greatgrandchildren keep both couples hopping. My stepmother retired a few years ago and babysit her grandchildren at least once a week(all under 7). We all want to see our descendants grow up and have productive lives. They want to live to a great age and I am furious that someone would want to shut off medicare to anyone of them. :argh:

90? why stop at 90? why not just do like they did in both the book and movie "Logans Run" and kill everyone at 30? it would make things so much easier for you hippies.
