‘Madness Abounds’ as Fake Candidates Confuse Wisconsin Recalls
Wisconsin voters will choose among real and fake Democrats this week to challenge six Republican senators in recall elections that may derail the agenda of Governor Scott Walker.
The primaries are the opening skirmish in a state at political war. The six districts in tomorrow’s races have Republicans running as Democrats, hoping to win the nomination and effectively render the Aug. 9 recall votes meaningless.
At a time when politics usually takes a break, voters will select candidates to run against Republicans who supported Walker’s efforts to curb collective-bargaining rights for most public employees. On July 19, there will be two primaries and a full-fledged recall aimed at Democratic senators who fled the state in February in hopes of blocking the measure, which touched off weeks of protests across the nation.
“It feels like madness abounds in our state, like Wisconsin is 65,000 square miles surrounded by sanity,†said Mike McCabe, executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, a nonprofit that advocates openness in government.

3. NEOCON scum suckers
I expect no less from these NEOCON scum suckers! They will stop at nothing to lie, cheat, steal their way into office. Don’t matter ‘know how anyways’ because if they don’t like the voter outcome they will call out Clerk Kathy from Wisconsin Waukesha Country or some other BROWN SHIRT NEOCON loyalist to perform their special style of voter fraud. With the blessing of the GAB!

6. Are people up there going to figure it out,
or will news stories like these just create more confusion?
I would like to think that the people of Wisconsin are smart enough to know what to do.

7. The "fake" Democrats are perfectly legal. Republicans play to win,
Democrats should try and do the same.
We look at the fake Democrats the same way that Republicans looked at the Democratic senators leaving the state to avoid a quorum. It's politics and it's hardball and if you can't keep up or stay a move or two ahead of your opponent, or anticipate those moves then you lose.
The bottom line is if Democrats play by nice Marquis of Queensbury rules and Republicans play by street rules, we lose and we end up whining and crying about how mean and unfair those nasty Republicans are.
As far as the primary goes, I voted last Tuesday at my City Clerk's office and it took minutes. There is no excuse not to vote.

11. There was talk about doing that, but then the Dems decided to take the high road.
Problem is that with the open primary, all the pukes can come and vote for the fake dem and boot our real dem off the ballot. Would have been nice if we had the fake puke on the ballot just to keep them honest.

Actually the democrats have been the ones running fake Tea Party candidates.
It's a bitch when your own tactics are turned on you.

History lesson for the primitives: everything that we Republicans learned--or, more accurately, are learning--we learned, or are learning, from.....the Democrats. We didn't invent dirty tricks; you did.

It would be :lmao: if the fake Dem won.

Bingo!

The "open" primary is the DUmbest concept ever in American politics.
What's the point in a party having a primary to choose its candidates, if the opposing party is allowed to participate?
Just wait until the presidential primaries next year, when paulbots and democrats will mobilize to destroy whichever
candidate looks most likely to unseat the jug-eared Kenyan in states where the Republicans hold a stupid open primary.
The primary should either be closed, or else the candidate chosen by a state party convention, which is by far the best way.

We just refine them; that's all. O-)

I voted this morning in the Democrat primary for the Alberta Darling recall election. Even though I was voting for the GOP place holder running as a democrat I still felt dirty voting for one, even if just a "fake" one.
The process was different this time. After showing my ID and them looking up my name in the voter rolls, they had me sign my name (which we have not had to do in the past in WI). In all the reports I have seen about the new voting reforms I do think it was mentioned. I am not complaining about it but just noting I have not seen that change reported anywhere.
While I doubt any of the place holders will win their primaries it would be great if at least one did. The DUmp would be apoplectic with cries of fraud, cheating, Diebold and fraud.

Fake candidates will never win.We should vote wisely. And I think it happens that truly the voters are clever enough to choose the right people in the right position. As party supported prospects were pitted against phony Democratic candidates in a Wisconsin primary election last Tues. All half a dozen real Democrats prevailed in the competition. The winners will go on to challenge incumbent Republican candidates in an August recall political election. I found this here:All six Democrats win over fake candidates in Wisconsin election (http://www.newsytype.com/8863-fake-democrats-wisconsin/).Congratulations to all the winners!

But you miss the point --
The point of running the 'fake' Dems was to tie up the Democrat's time and resources in WI, giving the Republicans longer to get their act together. Beating them during the primary would have been icing on the cake, but not the primary goal.
