Basically, We are Nuts
As a country of over 300 million, we allow a mere 535 votes to determine what course this country follows.
And what's even crazier is that one person gets to decide foreign policy.

So you don't like the system our founding fathers set up, what a shock. :whatever:

13. On paper, we're a Democratic Republic w representative govt. In fact, we're highly UN-representative
The ratio of people to representatives here is one the worst (highest, and therefore unrepresentative) in the democratic world, if not the highest.
That's not even getting into the tiny elite veto cesspit of privilege known as the US Senate.
A dollar says none of these sooper geniuses at DUmmyland know why each state has the same number of representation in the senate.
When they were trying to figure out how everything was going to work out for our govt, there was concern that smaller states would be over ruled by bigger states, so as part of the comprise, the senate was set up so that each state would have an equal say in the senate. The house was set up so that each state would be represented by how many people were in each state. This way in one house the states with more people had more representation and in the senate each state had equal. In theory this was supposed to balance it out and try to make it fair as possible.
Tomorrow's lesson for the DUmmies is how the senators were chosen long ago vs how they are chosen now.

..And thats why they hate it. Most of the states with smaller populations are fairly reliably conservative voting. The Democrats would love nothing more than to give all the representation to the heaviest populated states, specifically the heaviest populated cities in those states.

What's with this new trend among the primitives, being honest about themselves?
First, there was Doug's stupid ex-wife admitting she doesn't have a brain, and now this.

Exactly, you would be hard pressed to find a huge pocket of liberalism in any rural area. Most of the libs come from the big cities. States like NY and CA are pretty red except for the urban areas which happen to have enough people to put the libs in power.

But if you just kill the kid before he or she is born it makes it golden?

I concur, and it's due to the idiotic progressive system you fools have created starting with Wilson and the 17th amendment. This nation was never SUPPOSED to be ran by 535 people, 537 if you include the President and Veep. Their limited duties were delineated and restricted in the US Constitution. MOST of the shit you progressive fools have the fed doing now was supposed to be controlled by the states and local governments.
So yes, for once I agree with the DUmpmonkey. We are fools, but it wasn't people with my mindset that got us to this, very regressive and destructive point in time.

I hate to admit it but I do agree with one part of the DUmbass's statement, too few House of Representative members. I think there should be at least ten times more. The budget HOR's wouldn't need to go up, just reduce staff to say 1950s level per rep. This would do a lot for bringing power bach to the people in the people's house. It would allow the reps to know their constituents. Right now, my POS rep represents about 450,000 people and that is a low ratio. So of course only a few get her attention and those are her donors political power brokers. This way the stupid old hag I have would have to listen to me and others. Plus it would have the added benefit of grinding the gears of government legislation to a near halt.
