Hat tip to Hot Air for the link and thread title. (paraphrased)
Well here is something we can all get behind, err get our heads around, err... whatever. I've known a handful of women that occasionally wished they could reproduce without having to deal with the less fair sex. Plus a few ex's I've run into who saw me in a store or bar who had that look. You know the look. The one that suggest they would prefer to copulate like some insects and bite the heads off their mate once they were through with us. Maybe it's just me. :-)
Whatever. In any case it's nice to feel useful.

Finally, the scientists looked at worms in their natural state, which can choose to reproduce sexually or asexually. They found was that the worms responded to an evolving parasite by adding lots of males to their population and having a lot more sex.
And that kept the worms one evolutionary step ahead of the parasite.

One would guess that breeding with other worms would cause the DNA to kick in. In other words the asexual worms were simply replicating the host, no change in DNA.
Place this into humans, a mother has one set of identical twins . boys -----2 years later she has another set of identical twins, girls.
Forgetting the aberration say the 2 sets of twins decide to marry. Now what happens to the children they produce, Both sets of twins are now parents to their own and the children by their brothers and sisters. This is a night mare for the folks that work with DNA, 2 woman and 2 men with say each having 3 kids each, who is the mother and who is the father???
To go into science fiction that is now coming true every day in one way or another, These now 6 kids marry and produce 3 children each. Got a calculator to figure out how many people with the same DNA is now walking about???
One of these people comits a crime and leaves their blood behind. Trying to figure out who left the DNA will be impossible as this family all has the same.
Only way to tell any one of them apart is finger prints, if none are found now what?????
What fun to think of the strange possibility's heading our way in the future.
