Title: DUmmies Discuss A Plan For The Future - Give Texas Ten Senators
Post by: GOBUCKS on July 07, 2011, 02:00:41 PM
It's the first week of the month, a time when DUmmy Taverner and DUmmy Taverner's dealer are both feeling flush and content.
With a full load of illegal pharmaceuticals, freshly purchased with money from the generous taxpaying public, coursing through his bloodstream, DUmmy Taverner gives some serious thought to the future of the Republic:

Would anything be accomplished if Texas split into 5 states?
Chances are the Hill Country might go blue

Chances are Southern Texas would go blue as well
But anything can happen in Texas, anything

1. It would give them eight additional Senators. I don't think that would
be good for the Country.

4. Didn't think of that...
Yes, bad, very bad

Doh! With that, Congressional consideration of Taverner's plan draws to a close.

It's such a circlejerk when they do this.  They're over there in that thread suggesting fundamental changes in Federal and State Constitutions.  Talking about 50 different countries so Holder "won't shut down pot shops in Oakland."  Brother.

It's a trend. Nadin teaches us that America will shortly split apart into various different countries in the coming North American balkanization. It's in the script. The DUmbasses in this thread are just trying to demonstrate that they've learned from nadin-sensei.

She must have watched that show on History, How The Sates Got Their Shapes, they were talking about how at one time there was talk of splitting Texas into 5 states. So when she saw the map she got the idea.

OK, so we split off the large Blue cities into their own states because they already elect the blue senators and reps. Then the rest of the state elects red senators and reps to counter balance the blues and we get a net sum of zero and .......damn, all I had this morning was an aspirin and a dose of DUmpland and look how I'm thinking. :thatsright: ....but then maybe....

Before the Civil War, Texas did have a provision of dividing into five states in it's annexation treaty with the United States. This was done to placate certain Texans that were livid that Texas had to give up lands that now include parts of Wyoming, Colorado,Kansas,Oklahoma and New Mexico. This all changed when seccession happened. The provision was eliminated when Texas rejoined the Union in 1876. The only provision from the annexation treaty that remains is that the Texas flag can fly equal to or higher than the United States flag.
