Napolitano to announce the 432nd plan to improve border security

Napolitano will unveil the 2011 Southwest Border Counternarcotics Strategy at the Nogales Border Patrol Station, just a few miles from a state-of-the-art fence that crews are completing in downtown Nogales.

Although officials would not reveal details about the 2011 strategy, they are sure to tout their efforts as the latest in an unprecedented push to secure the U.S.-Mexican border.

“Despite the administration’s false claims that the border is ‘more secure than ever,’ a recent GAO (Government Accountability Office) report confirmed that the Border Patrol has operational control of only 44 percent of the southwest border,”

Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., said he would like to see the Obama administration implement some of the practices in the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector that have been successful in the Yuma Sector. Among them: Operation Streamline, a program that began under the George W. Bush administration that mandates an arrest and federal criminal charges for every person who crosses the border illegally. It targets even first-time crossers who would normally be routed into a civil-deportation process.

COMMENT: The timing of Napolitano’s visit to Nogales is no accident.

Friday the US House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources is holding a hearing on how federal land managers have frustrated the ability of the Border Patrol to secure the border.

The border may be more secure inside Nogales, Arizona….but one only has to go a few miles west to see wide open border access to illegal aliens and the drug cartels.

Napolitano has failed to secure the border because the Obama Administration refuses to confront federal land managers and radical environmentalists and stop allowing protection of lizards and pupfish to trump national security.

On previous visits to Nogales, it caused an immediate reaction to see the big fenced in lot with all the vehicles ripped open to get at the drugs that smugglers were trying to get into this country. Everything imaginable on those vehicles was either ripped open or torched open.

That was back in the early 1990s.

Maybe they could do that to Nappy.

This is all I had to read. I believe it when I see it happen. (As in, keeping the illegals out of the U.S.)

You know something, the women Obama appoints to high offices sure does help reinforce the old "Dumb Broads" stereo type.
