PREFACE: I did not watch the trial because TV news is truncated, sensationalized crap. However, there has been a lot of Monday morning QB'ing over this trial and near as I can surmise the prosecutors could not prove murder much less show the accused was responsible. As much as anyone wants to see "justice" done the process is what it is for a reason and by all appearances the jury and both sets of counsel acted within their appointed roles honestly and fairly.
That being said let it be noted that liberals can leave no event, no matter how tragic and emotional, undisturbed when it can be better used to rationalize their hatred for everyone else not like them.

Casey anthony is another attack on Women.
She gained notoriety by wanting to party more than parent. Or so went the prosecutors theory. We wanted to see her suffer, as testament to womens proper role as mommy. WE rail against all those that have coddled her by not killing her. She must have done a lot of bad stuff, and even if she didnt DO THIS literally, her poor attitude, and parenting skills should be enough. Now, we must reform our justice system, to guarantee a conviction. Anything less robs Kaylee of JUSTICE. Someone must pay for the killing, anyone.
This likely stems from the thrust to have courts that can guarantee convictions of guantanamo Muslims. We have fallen so far from the ideals I was taught in school. Now, we endeavor to imprison many, to ensure that none slip away from revenge.

FFS! This idiot is essentially saying that society, by way of the prosecutor, would have over-looked evidence implicating some other suspect or exculpatory evidence.
No effort is made to assume to simplist solution: the prosecutor was trying to paint the portrait of someone indifferent to the life or death of her own child.
The corollary, of course, is: women should be allowed to abandon children at whim in order to rock-and-roll all day and party every night and society has no right to say, "Go care for your children, please. And try to show a modicum of concern if they are missing from your care."
How gauche and puritanical.

I heard commenters and counter-commenters on the radio claim this was/was not akin to the travesty of the OJ verdict. Methinks a more appropriate analogy would be the Duke lacrosse players but instead of the false accusations (something DID happen by virtue of the fact of a child's death and the subsequent moving of the body) we have a liberal wanting to distract from the fact its faction engaged in politically-motivated public lynchings by now claiming the mantle of victimhood for itself.
To their credit, many DU'ers piled into the thread in the brief time I've been writing to poo-poo this crap.

14. My white grandfather was murdered by a gang hazing.
To punish a crossing guard that told police about the girl who reported one of the gang members raping her. They chose the first white person they saw, so as not to go down for premeditated murder. My grandmother, who witnessed the whole thing, needed a gauntlet of marshalls to protect her from the families and friends of the gang members on trial.
THERE WAS NO COVERAGE OF THIS, even though it was the first time in history that someone indicted for second degree murder was let off on their own recognizance. This case is springer, all the way.
Somewhere, deep inside, is a racist tirade scratching to get out but I don't see the connection as there are over a dozen-thousand murders in the US every year but only a select few make the news.

I'm making it a point to hug my daughter more. Thing is, the daycare monitors have noticed that my daughter "is loved a lot, and she's very secure in that knowledge," and that was about three weeks ago when they said that.

Without dispute but apparently the prosecutors failed to prove little Caylee was neglected to death or killed outright or that her mother was responsible.
But the DUmbass is explicitly saying that this was not a trial about the murder of a little girl but rather a Taliban-esque public media-based execution of a woman refusing to toe the societal line on mothering norms. IOW, the prosecutor's strategic tack reveals some hideous, sublimated misogyny deep within America.

I can kind of understand the verdict. The jury does hear a completely different trial. That whole family is a bunch of pathological liars. Who knows what the hell happened. Whatever it was I get the feeling Cindy knows and poor George is clueless. And I don't believe George and Casey's brother molested her. It's too convenient and too late in coming. Usually in families where abuse/molestation is happening the wife is a mousy, gullible woman. I wouldn't be surprised to find out Cindy as a strap-on.
It wouldn't surprise me to find out Casey let some sick bastard watch her baby so she could go out and party and then try to perpetrate a lie out guilt or whatever emotion she's capable of feeling. Too bad she hadn't killed her a couple years earlier while little Caylee was in the womb, then she could've been a DUmp hero. But at what point does little Caylee (also a female) matter at least as much as her mother. No, because in the eyes of the law she is only guilty of making false statements to the police, an offense for which time has already been served.
Even if the verdict were more timely, compulsory sterilization is overbearing and unrelated to the nature nature of the offense. It would be akin to being forced to surrender one's children for the offense of bouncing a $1,000 check.
I'm not impugning your feelings, the seeming injustice of the verdict or defending a decidedly dysfunctional person/family; I'm just noting what the law does...and it does so to the greater good despite this particularly bleak instance.

My oldest daughter was following this trial very closely, and she was pretty sure the prosecution just never made the case that Casey actually committed premeditated murder. It was obvious that the child died, and that Casey partied despite losing her baby...which is really enough to sicken any sane person...but there were other plausible ways it could have happened. There was not proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey actually committed the crime. If it hadn't taken so long to find that poor baby, maybe things would have been different.
As to the OP, the fact that any moron could see this as an attack on women says more about the depravity of the left than anything else. The baby died, and normal people quite naturally condemn either parent for not protecting their child, for celebrating instead of mourning, for hiding the evidence instead of feeling enough guilt to almost welcome punishment...
