Let me tell you how I really feel .........

Somehow the Republican Party has tapped into selfishness and twisted it into a virtue. I find nothing virtuous about cutting social programs for the truly needy and repeating a mantra that denounces Democrats as "welfare lovers" who are lazy and expect the government to take care of them. I find nothing virtuous about lying to the American people about their economic policies.

I find nothing virtuous about excusing lying during the days of Iran/Contra, but then making "lying to the American people" their mantra during the Clinton impeachment. I find nothing virtuous about denouncing Clinton/Gore in every conceivable fashion and then giving Bush a free pass on many of the same transgressions. I find nothing virtuous about hounding President Obama to produce a birth certificate because of some delusional conspiracy theory or accusing him of being a communist, socialist, or terrorist.

Hey stupid, it's the hypocrisy! It's the hypocrisy! It's the hypocrisy! Hypocrisy is the problem. It is my number one complaint with the Republican Party. Not a day goes by that I don't find them to be hypocritical on some level.

The son of a bitch is a liar. Plain and simple.

10. I firmly believe the following:

The Republican Party has adopted a political strategy in which they knowingly and willingly, for the sake of winning elections and gaining more political power, embrace a policy of destroying the opposition through slanderous lies about the opposition or through a fabricated "cultural war." It has caused political discourse to sink to new lows. No political party is totally void of corruption and personal failings. But it is wrong of one party to sanctimoniously denounce the other party for some of the very things it is guilty of. It is the height of hypocrisy.

Did you misplace your copy of Alinsky's "Rules for Radicles"? We found it and read it. All kinds of goodies in there.

11. Their plan has evolved over a long period of time.

I posted this in another thread, but want to share it here also.

They have plotted and planned for the last 40 or so years as evidenced by the recent exposure of a memo written by Roger Ailes when he worked for Nixon. It is also evidenced in Newt's GOPAC and the works of Frank Luntz.

Here are some excerpts of Republican tactical strategies from documents published on line (may not be available now) by Free Congress Foundation, Center for Cultural Conservatism, The Integration of Theory and Practice: A Program for the New Traditionalist Movement.

"The coming battle for the hearts and minds of Americans is ultimately a battle between civilization and barbarism."

"Making a good-faith effort and being ideologically sound will be less important than advancing the goals of the movement."

"We will maintain a constant barrage of criticism against the Left. We will attack the very legitimacy of the Left. We will not give them a moment's rest."

"We will use guerrilla tactics to undermine the legitimacy of the dominant regime. We will take advantage of every available opportunity to spread the idea that there is something fundamentally wrong with the existing state of affairs."

"The movement must be willing to appear obnoxious."

"We must be feared, so that they will think twice before opening their mouths."

"We must learn to treat leftists as natural disasters or rabid dogs. If we act as if this were in fact true (of course, it is not), we will not needlessly expend our energy on being upset with our opponents."

"This is not to discount the importance of reminding ourselves on a regular basis why we ought to hate leftist ideology, in order to keep ourselves motivated to better fight it."

"We must reframe this struggle as a moral struggle, as a transcendent struggle, as a struggle between good and evil."

"For example, we will go to public lectures given by leftists and ask them "impolite" and highly critical questions. We must, of course, be fully prepared beforehand for these sorts of excursions, and we must also be prepared to embarrass ourselves, especially at first."

"Our people must learn to have contempt and scorn for the wider society, and reject it in all ways."

Can you say Soros?

BTW. How's that Hope and Change working out for you?

Hey Tennessee Gal? I am about as conservative as you can get. I have no problem helping the truly needy. I have no problem helping the truly disabled. I have no problem helping the aged. What I do have a problem with is the welfare parasites that are able to sit on their able bodied ass and sucking money from the people that work. And ya know what, Bitch? When a man who has been a producer all his life, served in the Korean war, never took welfare no matter how bad it got back in the 70's, needed some help from the government in the last days of his life, he couldn't get it. Wanna know why? Because of the generational parasites like yourself that suck all the money out of those programs. Well we took care of him the best we could until he died. That man was my dad. My mom, at 75, was teaching full time to help pay the bills cause my salary didn't cover it.

Screw you.

Cleary so many references that we can counter on that dumb biotch, one being the Tea Party...how many times did they accuse the Tea Party to have been started by the GOP...not by the average American that can see their rights and freedoms being dismantled....then of course for years there's been countless protests by the loony left organizations, but nooo they'd deny that.  The hypocrocy is making me puke in my mouth a little.

^5 to you, Perky, and thanks to our late dads that served in Korea.  I miss mine a lot, mainly because June 29th would have been his birthday.

Here's to you, Dad, and to all the veterans that serve and have served this great nation.   :cheersmate:

Refresh my memory, DUmmy.  Who was it who stood up on TV, pointed his finger at the American people and declared "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"?  Who did that?
