I'm beginning to feel about Obama like I did with Carter.

He's a good, honest, sincere person but often ineffectual as a president.
When you're up against gangsters sincerity doesn't cut it.
In politics you need a gambler who's willing to hit below the belt If that's what it takes to get things done.

He did gamble and was willing to play an all or nothing game with Osama and he won.
If he could muster more of this winner take all attitude, I'd have more respect for him as my president.

When the GOP threatens to take down the country if they don't get their way he will never let things play out.
He will give them what they want and they know it.
They can threaten anything at all because they know they will never be tested.

He refuses to play an all or nothing with them when that is the only way he will succeed as president.

For a good honest person, 0bama has sure told some whoppers.
Exhibit A: The Affordable Health Care Act will reduce premiums.
Everyone that I know of has had a premium increases since 0bama care was forced on us.
Exhibit B: Starting in Jan (of 2011) people will be seeing bigger paychecks.
I don't know a single person who's paycheck got bigger in Jan.

The good news is, Carter only got one term and the country was saved by his replacement President Ronald Reagan, hopefully history will repeat itself and whoever the GOP president is will do the same.

24. Lady. Get some coffee. President Obama has accomplish more in 2.5

years than any President since Lincoln. Please do not give the FDR line, FDR did not get moving until after most of his first term was over.

What exactly has 0bama accomplished?

Read this book if you think Jimmy was nice or honest.

The Secret Service men didn't have any thing good to say about Jimmy Carter.

The Secret Service men didn't have any thing good to say about Jimmy Carter.
Any Secret Service agent who was trusted with the presidential detail, and then goes out to write a book betraying that confidence is a despicable viper, not much better than Assange and little queer Brad. You'd like to think there are some government jobs that are done with honor and integrity, but maybe not.

There is some debate about that in the book. It really is a facinating look at what they do tho. And they are not really giving away state secrets. Mostly they are personal stories like one agent talking about Barbra Bush coming out to the SS trailer when they were at their vaction home and gathering their laundery so she sould put it in the wash or the time when Bush was VP and one agent was raiding the fridge one night. Someone came up behind him and asked him if there was anything to eat in there. It turned out to be Bush. Bush went back to bed with milk and cookies and the agent went back down stairs with some too.

It might not come as any suprise that the people with the worst stories were people like Johnson, Carter, Hillary, and Gore.

I remember reading that book or a similar one years ago.
They described from the Carter to the Clinton years. Carter and Clinton were jerks while Reagan and Bush were nice.

There were no secrets revealed it was just an account of how each of the presidential families acted towards the secret service.

I don't know. It still sounds like a betrayal of confidence to me. A president's family is forced to surrender its privacy to SS agents. The implication is that the privacy will be respected and protected by these guys, who are supposed to be the ultimate professionals.

I'd feel the same way if they were talking about MooShell slapping the Kenyan around.

Then you are a much better person than me.  I would pay good money to read the account, or better yet, watch it on pay per view. :-)

I'd sign up for the pay-per-view, but not a SS rat.

What about if we let Moochie try to smack down the SS rat?
