W. was incredibly stupid. Obama is incredibly smart. So why the wars?
Why are we still in Iraq? Why are we still in Afghanistan? Why is Obama bombing Lybia and telling our congress to screw off because it's none of their business?
At some point, the difference between incredibly stupid and incredibly smart ceased to matter.
The most obvious explanation is that American companies that build war supplies are making profits beyond their wildest dreams. And ending a war, any war, would decrease their bottom lines.
So it's just possible that stupid and smart don't come into the equation. All that matters is more. More wars for more profits, so that the companies profiting can give more to politicians, who, in turn, will give them more ongoing wars. What a disgusting, vicious circle.
America has lost its middle class, its moral compass, its soul, and it's pouring its wealth down a rat hole.
And worst of all, there doesn't seem to be one ******* thing that any of us can do about it. Any suggestions?

1. Either Obama is not as smart as we thought, or W is not as dumb as we thought.
You raise some good questions.
After all this time, the DUmbasses still confuse the ability to smoothly read a teleprompter with "intelligence":http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1371589
What do we know, aside from the Kenyan's teleprompter skills? His academic records are as closely guarded as the list of Clinton's venereal diseases.
We can only go by his performance: Consistent votes of "present" for a very brief period at the state and federal level, followed by the most incompetent presidency since the Georgia peanut.
Welcome to the affirmative action presidency.
In short he is lazy and probably has a huge sense of entitlement.Yes, you're right. It's in his entire worldview. When Louisiana was begging him to lift the moratorium so that the oil workers could get back to work, he said, "Oh, BP will pay the guys." "What if they don't?" "Oh, well, they can collect an unemployment check."
When obama is not reading from a teleprompter, his orations are full of "Er" and "Ah". Not the sign of a smart person.
Affirmative action is right.
Well said, H5.
Ditto... ^

As if a $300 weekly check can support a family. It can't. Not to mention the sense of self-worth that only honest work can bring.

Any suggestions?
The posts of Oscar Wilde, the large-proboscised primitive, generally consists of whining about some issue followed by questions asking what the other primitives have to say on the topic I realize libs need constant reinforcement of their beliefs from others, but that's all this one ever does.
Cyrano (1000+ posts) Mon Jun-27-11 12:59 PMI guess you just FAIL to see that you do not matter DUmmie. DUmmies never learn. This is what the communist in the white mosque wants. Collapse the system, overwhelm the system with utter choas.
