Never caught so many fish since I tried using these Berkley Powerbait 5" Heavy Weights Fat SinkWorm

http://www.basstacklemaster.com/Berkley-Powerbait-Heavy...

Put them on a 32nd of an ounce jig head and just get them into the water. Don't even need to work them. Just let them lay on the bottom for a minute or two and you will have a fish soon. Or work them slowly across the bottom. Key word is slowly. Like a worm might be crawling along the bottom. A little kid who was fishing with them taught me that by the way.

I caught 25 large mouth bass yesterday in about 3 hours of fishing with them. Bunch of good sized pan fish too.

Couldn't believe it. Once when I threw it out, I set the pole down to light a smoke and there was a bass on it before I got the smoke lit without even working the bait. Never seen that happen before with a plastic worm.

1. Used this method a few times with plastic worms and it works. On the Bass circuit it is called dead stickin.

2. I have forgot about the bass since I caught a couple of huge carp on them

First carp broke my line after over a half an hour fight. It was like I was snagged on the bottom of the lake but the snag kept moving. Thought I was playing the fish when in fact it was playing me. Nearly broke my pole. It did trash my reel though. Feels like it has sand inside it now. Must have flattened the tops of the bearings? It will barely turn.

So I ran out and got heavier line and a better reel. Next one straightened out my hook just as I got him under the boat and my buddy got the net ready.

Landed the next one with a stronger pole, better reel, heavier line and and a bigger hook. It was 37 inches long. I couldn't believe it.

Now that is all I want to fish for. Really like catching them. Rather catch one big carp than a hundred small bass. Its a battle every time.

Ever try that?

4. The one that broke the line ran out a hundred yards of line before I could blink

I looked down and my reel was just about empty and I had the drag set correctly for 12 pound test mono. Had to adjust the drag beyond what I should have or I was going to run out of line.

I have since switched to FireLine. Little stiff and tough to work with but it appears to be pretty strong stuff. I can barley cut it with scissors.

And you are probably right about the scents stuff too. What is going to work best is what we think will work best. Makes sense. Confidence is everything.

Chances are good that this is a Bouncy version of a fish story. It would be more interesting if he used his vast DUmmie intellect to convince the fish to vote dem next election.

Most people who fish for bass these days catch and release. I still eat 'em.
And he's right about Fireline. Best invention since sliced bread.
On every other subject, he's a leftist lunatic.

May as well.  Seems a lot of the Dem voters are swimmin' with the fishies. :-)
If you get my drift.
