Woe on life and death on Dylan
and yes death is a taboo in the US... I am so thankful in a way that I grew up in Mexico. Going over the grieving process was that much easier. But then again, dad was so sick that we are all pretty much accepting of it... but yes, our culture needs to learn how to accept death... and all that.

This is also another thing that changed in US history and culture, and that includes how we treat the body of the deceased and medicalizing the fact that people die. Dad dying peacefully at home, alas not surrounded by us, but still, would be strange to most here.

Dear DUmmie nadin.

Your wish for more people dying at home will be granted soon, unless ObamaCare is repealed.  Every old person will be given pills and told to go home and die.

Dear DUmmie nadin.

Your wish for more people dying at home will be granted soon, unless ObamaCare is repealed.  Every old person will be given pills and told to go home and die in agony like they used too..

I think that fixed it.

Yeah it's not a taboo in Mexico. In that shithole, death is an everyday, common occurence. People die from infected teeth, minor cuts, flu, ruptured appendix, internal parasites, diarrhea, and a whole host of things that either don't exist or are minor conditions in the civilized world. It's probably easier to handle when it's so routine.
