I haven't seen them discuss this topic since Chimpy was waging his illegal wars and trying to take over the world.

I just heard some guy on Tweety say that Petraus is a good guy for counter-insurgency. Weren't our Founding Fathers insurgents?
Paul Revere, Ethan Allan, the 'Swamp Fox', the Sons of Liberty. This BS about keeping our troops to fight "insurgents" is crazy. As long as we occupy their nations there will be resistance. If I had foriegn soldiers in my nation, kicking down my door, well, I'd be dead by now.

That makes no sense whatsoever.   The U.S. would be the founding fathers..... you know, the folks trying to provide Iraqis freedom to govern themselves?

Most insurgencies fail and the Revolutionay War was a very near affair. Even in that insurgency it had to--like all others of its type--had to give way to regualr army formations.

GEN Petraeus understands this...brilliantly.

"Ever" is a long time.

I'll put it this way:  If the USA ever became what modern day liberals want it to be, I wouldn't pick up a weapon to defend it.  People are willing to fight and die for freedom.  What modern-day liberalism offers isn't really freedom, so why would I take a chance of dying to be a slave to the State?

Nope, none of us would be "insurgents."  We would most certainly not suicide bomb churches and marketplaces full of civilians in order to try to force everyone to fall under our control. Sorry, panader0, epic fail.

or chop off the arms of children because the "invaders" were giving them childhood immunizations, or imprison and enslave entire villages to make them work for you,  or.....  Even as an insurgent, a man should keep his honor.  The men calling themselves mujaheddin these days have no honor.
