http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

I guess to take the focus from his one-man strike against work and sobriety. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=1344452&mesg_id=1344452)

Stay tuned.

I see all those single person strikes every day.  Mostly standing at highway off ramps with signs asking for food or money.

He links to his own thread, looking very foolish.  The original thread that he links to is entertainingly rabid.  Maybe we can merge with this one.

6. What I think is that people will tease you about your idealism
and post whimsical one offs in this thread, if they post anything at all. Why?

Because the methods of self medication are still available, and because people are afraid to risk what little they have left.

First, find a way to shut off the things that numb us to the pain. The pain will quickly replace the fear, and you'll have an activist country in no time at all.

Thread killer.   :lmao:  BTW, Demwing, you're not taking away my beer.

Tav is dealing with anger issues right now.

Maybe he should update his half naked photos to ease his stress, smoke more weed, forget the job hunting.

General Strike NOW!   Updated at 10:44 AM
Um, don't you need to have a job first before you can go on strike and protest by not working?

Becoming unhinged?  Taverner became unhinged and commenced to flopping in the wind a long time ago.  I'm betting he's coming up on a Loughner type flameout any day now.

That is, of course, if he could see his way fit to "unhinge" his ass from in front of the computer.

Does Taverner not realize that if there was a general strike en masse that it would be against Obama and his policies?

Someone needs to repost the DUmmy from a couple of months ago who said he was so enthusiastic about a general strike,
it almost made him want to get a job.

I think it was before the Great Nadin Meltdown, when she was giving the DUmbasses
condescending explanations of what a general strike is.

The trend at that time was general strike, and she was explaining the script.

OMG! seriously, do the higher ups at DU or the DLC ever get embarrassed by these people at all? Just reading that thread is embarrassing.

I'll bet DUmmy Taverner has campaigned hard for a general strike with the people he stands in line with at the methadone clinic
there in downtown Oakland, enjoying a blunt.

I wonder how much support there would be for a general strike if it included drug dealers.

Not necessarily - When the Massachusetts teacher's union decided to picket government cutbacks, the went to the state GOP headquarters to do so. Even though there are so few elected Republicans here that they have only slightly more power than the Green party and the Socialists.

That is the genius of the Republican party, even when in the minority they still control everything, well unless something good happens then that was the dems.

Oh my gosh, STFU Taverner.  You can't strike if you don't have a job.

Kramer was on strike against the bagel shop for 12 years. Never worked a day.

You would think -- but maybe he is the strike equivalent of Greece's 'Riot Dog' (http://www.thisblogrules.com/2010/03/dog-that-hasnt-missed-a-single-riot-for-years.html) - he just shows up...
