Ok, well, tomorrow it will be exactly a year ago that my best friend, Angus chewed off half his tail, due to complications of a birth defect. He was in observation for many months, released on Labor Day weekend last year. Let's just say that the financial impact of that was huge, and my boyfriend and I are still recovering from the financial impact.
I bring to you my darling BFF, Angus. Less a half of a tail.

I know you love that pup, Tots, and while I've plunked a lot of money down for Belle, our golden, it didn't hobble us too badly. God bless you for your loyalty to Angus. He's a lucky guy.

Treasure that pup of yours, 'tots.
We had to put this little girl down two weeks ago because of bone cancer that had metastasized, and we're still walking around the house in a bit of a funk.

OH D6, I am so sorry for your family's loss. Hope your little ones are ok. :(

It's been 2 weeks and we're doing pretty well, ma'am. About the only time we really notice her gone now, is when we com back home from anywhere. She used to be so antsy and excited when she met us at the door when we got home. Even while she was sick, that was the one thing she really made the effort for: to greet us at the door whenever we came back. My wife and I cried when we got back from burying her, because we couldn't hear her claws tapping at the floor on the other side of the door when we got home that afternoon.
