Title: TiT admits to tax fraud
Post by: SSG Snuggle Bunny on June 14, 2011, 06:25:11 PM
This is:

A) a hoaxster pretending to be TiT and trying to damage him

B) TiT being really stupid to admit this in public on a pro-tax progressive site

C) TiT thinking he's being cute by showing how corps get off easy.

Screw the State of California (supreme incompetence)
In April, 2010, I set up a production company in order to write off a few vehicles. Granted, the corporation was a sham and a gimmick, but I did all of the right things.

Yesterday, I got this notice from the State informing me of my failure to pay the $800 filing fee and that I owed $99.99 in penalties and interest.

By nature, I am highly disorganized and thought I might have screwed up. So I asked my bookkeeper about it and she promptly produced a copy of the check. I would never have found the damned thing and probably would have sent another one to the State (first, I would have had to locate a checkbook and probably would have given up on the whole effort).

That got me to thinking about how often this sort of screw-up happens and how many people like me pay twice. Then I put on my TinFoil Hat and started thinking this might be some new revenue stream for our bankrupt State.

Welcome to California, the State of Incompetence.

1. So, let me get this straight....

You're complaining because your effort to bilk the State of California was foiled by what you perceive as a conspiracy by the State of California?

That's kinda like a cocaine dealer filing a crime report for having his stash robbed from him. Boo hoo.

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out of Cali. You're not welcome here.

 :lmao:

Ohh and the mods moved the thread to try to hide it I guess,

15. I just wanted to write off the vehicles.

I write off everything - appliances, cabinetry, musical instruments, clothes, you name it. That's how I can afford to live in downtown Sonoma.

The system is designed to be gamed. That's why some folks have money and others don't. I didn't 'bilk' the State, I just won part of the game.

Get a grip, Life is simply that - a game. There are winners and losers and I prefer the former. I don't owe a dime to anyone.

Sonoman

And if we don't want our taxes raised we are greedy ****s.  :mental:

16. What a sad, sad life you must lead if that's what you truly believe,

And I hate to tell you this, but you're not a "winner" by any stretch of the imagination.

He's a winner alright, in the Charlie Sheen sense of the word.

17. This isn't a "game," you're a TAX CHEAT.

Gosh, I'd love to write off my car and appliances, too, but I OBEY THE FREAKING LAW.

"Get a grip" Oh, seriously? Seriously?

You're cheating my state out of money, just because you feel like it. That makes you a crook. I hope the breadth of your cheating becomes known to the state, and that you're prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I'm a Californian, too. We're closing 70 parks, laying off tens of thousands of teachers, and making deep and cruel cuts to social services because of revenue shortfalls, and you're whining because you had to submit proof of your bogus LLC to the state to cover your own ass?

Sorry, you'll get no sympathy here. You're a crook; you should be prosecuted.

"I don't owe a dime to anyone." Spoken like a true small-L libertarian--the clueless kind, who want the advantages of a civil society but don't want to pull their own weight. Disgusting.

Edited to add "bogus" to "LLC."

The primitives are all up in arms over this tax cheat.
I say he can always get a cabinet position in the 0bama administration now.

Don't forget, his girlfriend is a world-class downhill skier who's also the captain of the Swedish bikini team. Or maybe it was Norway.
I wonder if the California forum is where he accumulated 1000+ posts without being recognized as TiT. The California forum probably has no more traffic than Crazy Andrea's board.

It could be an impostor, but it won't take long to find out. No one could keep up the charade for very long. TiT's style is just too distinctive, and anyone else with 1000+ DUmp posts is just too DUmb.

20. It Probably Means He Bought the Property YEARS Ago, When It Was Cheap

So he's probably paying a 0.1% property tax now, even based on current recession-depressed property values.
I can see why he might feel pretty good about that.

(I have no personal knowledge of the property in question, but this seems the most likely scenario)

No, you don't have knowledge of ANY property ownership and come off like a life-long renter. What the hell does her buying it years ago when it was cheap have to do with anything? Property is assessed every damn year.

Hmmm... I wonder if the tax dept would like a screen cap of this. Mexifornia is broke after all and I bet they would like nothing better than to get some low hanging fruit like this idiot.

I'm thinking that this is a Sonoman 'get rich quick' scheme

1 ) Claim you have committed a bunch of crimes you actually haven't on an anonymous messageboard, with the intent of getting arrested.
2 ) Once arrested, wait until the LEOs discover you are innocent of all charges, and then sue the crap out of the town and the state
3 ) Profit !

I'll bet that I will contribute more to worthwhile causes in the following year than you will in your lifetime.

Yeah, I am in that oh-so-dreaded 1%.

I pick my spots.

**** the State. They ****ed it up.

I will decide where my money goes. It's nobody's business but mine. **** a bunch of idiots in Sacramento.

3. "Lopsided", indeed.

Forgive me, for I am a Marketer and a student of probability.

None of this (and we could go on and on) makes any probable sense. This shit is upside-down.

Sonoman

PS Hey, Taverner, sorry about pissing you off on my tax-dodge thing. I just love to **** with them. I employ 50+ people. I do my part.

I wonder which party controls the California state government... :whistling:

Additionally, I thought the government was the best thing since sliced bread to DUmmies?  :???:

Intriguing but it seems too complicated by at least two steps.   :-)

Actually, in California, property tax rates are set based on the value of the house at time of purchase, unless you get a 2nd mortgage.

I'll vouch for that.  And under Prop. 13, it can't increase by more than 2 percent per year.

Almost sounds like one of those greedy conservatives.
Bet you he wants everyone else to pay their taxes though.
