I'd like to hear from Michelle Bachman's foster kids
Panel on Cenk's show say that because she is a mother of 28 that she comes across as not a looney. And that is a plus for her. I say that it just shows that he boarded a bunch of kid for $$$.
I know people that are in it just for the money and I'd be willing to bet that is the case with her too.

4. Well, she sent her bio kids to private schools, while the adopted kids went to public schools.
Which, you know, I'm all about the public schools. It just...kinda sends a message, doncha think?

5. WOW
So, basically, she used the income from foster kids to send her real kids to private school. (not all of it, of course, but even if it was a couple of bucks it is...pretty gross)
:mental:
-
A lot of times they have rules as to where the foster children can go to school, the doctor, which hospital, and all sorts of things. Of course don't let any facts stop you dumbasses.

She makes at least $150000 a year as a member of congress. Does she really need to do that to get extra money. Ignorant (expletive) jerk. :banghead:
-
Yeah, let's not debate her views or politics, let's attack the person and use kids to try to do it.
DUmmies, you and your kind are turning people off left and right. Keep doing it...
-
When did you stop beating your foster children?
-
I was wondering when this shit would start...

If she happens to get the nomination, this stuff will seem like them being nice.
Face it they have no issues to stand on. They can't boast that 0bama has done a good job, so they need something to try to turn people off the repukes.

Michelle Bachmann's Baby Farm.
A Wonkette operative says Bachmann has five kids of her own and raised an astonishing 23 foster kids. A nice person would say, “Oh, that’s a nice thing.†But our cold-hearted operative notes that Minnesota pays $30 a day, tax free, per foster kid.
“So if Bachmann has fostered 23 children, let’s say for an average of five years, that would come out to a non-taxable $1,259,250,†the Wonk-Op writes. “No wonder she’s anti-abortion. Children are a cash crop for her.â€

1. Between that and her farm subsidies, she must be making a tidy sum.
:puke:
She isn't getting farm subsidies her in laws are, or were I forget which it is.

Michele Bachmann is a wonderful woman for giving so many children chances they may not have had. Why so much hate, DUmmies? There's enough room in the White House for 28 kids.

They are upset that those 28 kids weren't just aborted.

My bet is if we heard from those kids it may be like opening up Sarah's e-mails!

Per Minnesota law, every effort should be made to keep foster children in the same school they were attending at the time of the placement in foster care:
...An assurance that the state agency has coordinated with appropriate local educational agencies (as defined under section 9191 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965) to ensure that a child remains in the school in which they are enrolled at the time of placement;
...
School disruption is difficult for any student, therefore, caseworkers must ensure that youth remain in their current school when considering placement. Caseworkers should identify a foster home that can support a child’s educational needs, including transportation, the need to stay after school for additional help, and participation in extra curricular activities that support a student’s social network.
Basically, Minnesota believes that academic continuity is an important part of helping children adjust to being in foster care, after all their lives are already changing dramatically, so social workers try not to have children change schools when entering foster care. Michelle Bachmann likely had little to no say regarding where her foster children could attend school.

Out of 20-some foster kids, it will be a miracle if the socialists can't hire at least one to stab her in the back.
You know they will be offered stacks of money, and kids in foster care are probably more susceptible to that
kind of temptation than average.
If if doesn't happen, then she is truly a saint.

Hey DU, are you better off today than you were in 2008? that's the freaking question you need to start asking yourselves! jerks!

I'm waiting for Sasha and Malachai to give unaccompanied interviews. I want to hear about how Obama beats his children.

Honest Question… Are any of Bachmann's foster kids minorities?
Edited on Tue Jun-14-11 09:37 PM by aaaaaa5a
I am curious.
Are any of Michelle Bachmann's 23 foster kids minorities?
I have looked everywhere and can't find any info. I haven't even been able to find an old group family photo that could lead to the answer to the question.
While I am not an expert in foster care, my understanding is that a disproportionate number of the children that need homes are minority, usually African American or Hispanic.
Based on my albeit limited knowledge of the system, it seems as though you would really have to "cherry pick" your children carefully to bring in 23 foster kids from the state and not have at least 1 minority in the group. Of course I could be speaking out of turn. It is entirely possible she did have children of different ethnic backgrounds included in her family. I just don't know.
The cynic in me says that based on GOP actions of the past, if there was just 1 minority child among those 23 kids, that child would be FRONT AND CENTER in some kind of "hey look we are not racists" Tea Party TV adds.
Does anyone have the answer to this?
I firmly believe that if a family is going to adopt a child, that taking into account race, sex age etc. is each families personal choice. But when you are the foster parent to 23 kids and possibly receiving state tax payer funds, that is a different issue.
Were any of Bachmann's foster children minorities?
And if not, what are the statistical odds that you could pick up 23 wards of the state and not have at least 1 minority child in the group?
BTW… This topic does have political significance. Remember John McCain lost the 2000 South Carolina GOP primary to George Bush, because Bush operatives cold called conservatives to "REMIND" southern GOP voters that John McCain had adopted a dark skinned baby.
Maybe for that reason, she is trying to keep quiet. Who knows?

To be fair most of the primitives aren't biting on this one.

5. Why don't you ask if they are boys or girls?
Edited on Tue Jun-14-11 09:53 PM by catabryna
Why don't you ask if any of them have disabilities? Someone on another thread (and I don't mean for this to reflect on your question) equated these children to a dollar amount.
While I may not agree with her politics, and I most certainly do not... I'm not going to assign anything nefarious to her choosing to be a foster parent.
Research the district she lives in. Is it a district with a high minority population? You don't get to really pick and choose the children you choose to foster parent. Your door is open and you never know what child is going to be on your doorstep.
Edited to more clearly express my thoughts.
Then there was this,

6. They were all teenage girls she used as babysitters for her biological kids.
That's a fact. They were certainly cheaper than using illegal aliens as nannies, which is another repuke fav. I mean, she gets paid $30 per day per kid for having built-in babysitters!
She's a grifter, just like Caribou Barbie.

Exactly what I though upon reading this thread - careful what you wish for, primitives.
Of course - like the 'bad emails were edited/redacted - the story will be 'well, OBVIOUSLY the kids were coached..'

Who cares what race the foster children are? You DUmbshits only care about race. Why does it matter? If she only fostered one minority or none at all, she is then not qualified to run for president. Is that what I am understand? How many of you rejects have fostered a minority child?

Man, I sure hope she had a lot of black foster kids.
That would be sure to get her a lot of black votes against the Kenyan in 2012.
Yeah, Bachmann needs to really court that black vote.

So we can't attack Obama's family, but it's quite acceptable for them to attack Bachmann's. Typical.

Yep. Even asking for proof of citizenship causes terrible harm to Obama's kids, but Bachmann's, Palin's, Bush's and Cheney's kids all have targets painted on by the left. It'll be a miracle if their hate speech doesn't set off some whacko. get one or more of those poor kids hurt.
(Hey, lurkers, how do you like looking in the mirror?)
