Post by: Dixie*Darling on April 23, 2008, 06:21:13 PM: I've not set the burn pile on fire yet. I was weedeating the other day and a rabbit ran out from under it. I'm afraid there might be a nest so I decided not to burn it.

My pile is quite large since most of last fall and into winter it was too dry and we had a burning ban in effect.

Should I have the misfortune of burning the woods and house down, I'll let you know what kind of response time I get from the fire department and the local sheriff's department. I suppose they'll send EMS as well.

I'll keep ya posted.
