OMG! State of MO requires new voters to register 1 calendar year prior to the election!
No, it's not really a requirement in the State of Missouri, but it could be a new requirement in your state.
What are the current requirements to register and vote in your state? How many kinds of ID are you required to have to vote or register in your state? Do you have the 3 types of identification required to register and vote in your state?
Don't wait for Rachel Maddow or Ed Schultz to tell you about these things - these items may get by them in their daily crush of info!
Educate yourself about your state's voter and registration requirements! They may have changed since the last election, you know.
I would never put it past the repukes to capitalize on Pres O running unchallenged in the primaries by delaying info about new voter and registration rules until it's too late to register for the Elections next year. Let's not get caught with our pants down!
Educate yourself about the voter and voter registration requirements, and check periodically to see if they've been changed again.

Well dumpmonky... ya ever heard of the Real ID Act (I think it is called that) just to get a drivers license? Why can't we use that for voting? Oh that's right... it disenfranchises the voters. My ass. You dumpmonkies gotta show ID to get booze, cash a check or get a PO Box, so what is wrong with showing ID to vote?
To be quite honest I have never had to show ID to vote. I give them my voter registration card for the simple reason they always think I am my Dad and he was always down there at the precinct when they opened and I never got down there until the evening. I won't have to worry about it now though since my neighbor's wife is working at the precinct.

The public finally got sick and tired of voter fraud after the ACORN expose. Voting should be sacrosanct, not some joke with Donald Duck registering and dead people voting and so forth. Reap what you sow.
In deep blue CT, you had to show an ID. Speaking of reaping what you sow, they voted in a big pile of democrats, who in turn jacked the taxes on everything sky-high. For once, I'm glad to be out of there and in NY! That's saying something.
